Rina was awesome. She was so patient with our puppy. It is our first puppy and not only did she teach her, she taught us and we have been able to use some if her techniques on our newly adopted adult shelter dog. Dogwise Academy was a true godsend to us! Can't recommend them enough.

This has been a great experience. My puppy Rimy had 2 paws out the door. He was an 11 month old Australian Shepard. With me he was a sweet dog but with strangers he was aggressive, anxious, nipping and jumping towards people. He scared everyone with his body stance and bark. Jackson had him for 4 weeks. Rimy loved running around the large property. At the end of his stay Rimy would recall well, walk on a leash, able to have strangers in the same room, sleep in his crate and take trips to home depot without aggressive behavior. Jackson changed Rimy's life. During this process I received videos and text message updates. Once Rimy came home Jackson checked in and I contacted him with questions. This was the experience I was looking for and would do it again.

Cal C. and his family were a godsend! Before training, my dog (Kota), felt nearly impossible to take anywhere. Walks were always stressful and anxiety inducing. I truly felt helpless as I avoided the elevator and all humans/nonhuman interactions in my apartment complex. I also never had guests over because I was so scared of how Kota would react. WELL, it has been 24 hours of having Kota home (also 24 hours since Cal trained me to communicate with Kota) and I have never been happier to take him on a walk. I literally shed tears the night we got back because I don’t remember ever enjoying a walk with him in his four years of life. I’ve also been able to take the elevator and be confident in his ability to stay composed while people enter and exit the elevator. The main difference between then and now is having the tools to correct his reactivity and having effective communication with Kota for the first time. I’m so excited to enjoy life with him and to show him so much of the world, slowly but surely. He’s not a completely new dog, he is simply less anxious because he was finally shown clear communication. Thanks to Cal, I finally know how to communicate clearly with him as well. I’ll forever be indebted to this family for the hope that they’ve given me. (Yes, I’m crying again!)

Lauren at Dogwise went above and beyond for my Maggie she is very compassionate and extremely knowledgeable it was so comforting knowing that my Maggie was in such good hands. I am getting excited to start Maggie with her training after she decompresses. It’s very comforting knowing that Lauren is still there for me if I need her.

Cal at Dogwise is the absolute best! When we sent our dog, Talen, to Cal, we were hoping to get help with his anxiety, unpredictable aggression toward other dogs, and ability to be around children. After four weeks, Talen knows commands, does well on walks, and is equipped to ease into being around kids. At drop-off, Cal spent time working with Talen and us, so we understand how to continue training at home. We can't speak highly enough of the care, daily communication, and hard work that Cal put in with Talen and we are so happy with how the month went for Talen.Thanks to Cal, we are ready to continue the work here at home.

It was a rocky start. My dog Ajax had sever separation anxiety and fear Agression towards dogs and people. Our trainer Rina, amazingly was willing and able to take him on. The change in him is shocking to me and i am extremely greatful. I know its up to me to continue his training, but with Rinas fantastic foundation i believe i can handle it. Thank you so much and Ajax will miss you.

I can’t express how grateful my family is for Jackson “Jacks” at Dogwise. If I could give Jackson 10 stars I would!! He was an AMAZING trainer for my 140lb St. Bernese, Kobe. Kobe was always jumping on me, forcing me into a corner, knocking me down, did not listen to ANY commands and barked all night. Yes, he was very unruly. He would jump on the furniture, and it was very difficult to get him off as he would nip at me, his nipping was really biting me with his enormous teeth. All summer long, we did not host any pool parties because Kobe would jump on our guests, and it was so stressful to be entertaining our guests and watching Kobe. We had a trainer for over two months come to our house, but nothing worked. I had lost all hope and was very sad because Kobe could be sweet, and I just wanted to take him for walks, love him and play with him. I could not walk him as he walked me. After 23 years of marriage, my husband finally got his wish come true a puppy St. Bernese, although Kobe is almost a 1 ½ years old now. I stressed to my husband, “This is why I never wanted a big dog - they are too difficult to handle”. I have had about 25 dogs my whole life and never had any problems with any of them. I love Kobe, but not sleeping at night was taking a toll on me. Dogwise was my last hope! My goal for Kobe was to provide structure, training, listen to commands, allow me to walk him, have a good night’s sleep and entertain my friends and family. After 4 weeks with Jacks, Kobe is such a different dog. I don’t even know this dog. He listens to me, does not jump on me. When I come home, he is excited, but I tell him to sit and he LISTENS TO ME!!! He doesn’t push me in a corner, jump on me or try to dominate me. He lays down and is submissive, and I just pet him and love him so much now. He does not jump on the furniture. He is crate trained. The first week at home was difficult, he barked and barked and at 1:00am I sent a text to Jacks, and he answered me!!! He gave me advice and said Kobe was acting like “spoiled child”. Jacks gave me courage and said to give it time as he is seeing what he can get away with. I did not give in to him, and sure enough …he learned!! We open the door to his crate, and now he just walks in with no sass or talking back. I love it. I still need to work on the walking part as I need to be a little more confident, but at least I can walk him. He sits at cross walks before walking, When I say the commands Jacks taught him, he listens although I do not have his “English accent”, Kobe still listened to me. 😊 Jacks has checked up on me almost every day now and answers any questions I have. This was the best investment I have ever made. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart Jacks and Dogwise!!

I was a little hesitant at first being a first time dog owner, and this being my first training experience. Paul and Emalee made the process very simple and comfortable for me. They both took the time to explain the program thoroughly and were there anytime I had a question or concern. My dog was a part of the four week program with the main focus being aggression. The first week was a little challenging since my dog has aggressive tendencies and it was his first time being away from me since 9 weeks old. The trainer Jackson displayed great patience, commitment and communication throughout the whole process. He explained everything in depth and sent me numerous updates throughout the duration of the program. Blue (my dog) behavior has definitely improved and I would without a doubt refer dogwise academy and Jackson to anyone considering dog training for their pup. Thanks again to the team at dogwise academy for your help and determination.
