Had my video assessment with Mick today. Extremely knowledgeable, listened to me, understood my concerns and what I wanted out of my sessions. Explained my plan, great advice on immediate worries. Also, my first in house training session already happening the next day.

Excellent Start to Dog Academy Experience
Earlier today I was researching dog training options and Dog Academy stood out as a great fit with excellent reviews. In just minutes after completing the online questionnaire, Josh of the Dog Academy team reached out to discuss. I was impressed with the response time and also his taking the time to walk me through Dog Academy offering. We spent time talking specifics of mine and my dog's situation, and Josh tailored his recommendations for training based on learning more about us & what we were looking for. By the end of the call, Josh had set up a preliminary training plan, created my account, and connected me to a 1:1 call with a coordinator to schedule next steps. I appreciated Josh's personalized and well thought through training approach, and am looking forward to working with Dog Academy. Learning to Speak My Dog's Language
I've been working with my trainer for about four months, and I can't say enough good things about this academy. My biggest "aha" moment has been learning the psychology behind dogs and how to actually communicate with my dog instead of just expecting her to listen.
I adopted a pit bull mix, that’s now 2 yo and who thinks everyone is her best friend. She's always been sweet, but she had no idea how strong she was! It's been so fun watching her grow. She even stopped chasing her tail now that she's getting the mental stimulation she needed. She's happier, has so much more self-control, and honestly is even more fun to be around.
The best part is that this training has taught me just as much as it's taught my dog. I highly recommend it!

Christian Ramirez, Dog Trainer extraordinaire
I highly recommend Christian Ramirez as a Dog Trainer. When I started working with him, my new puppy, a poodle Shih Tzu mixed named Roman, was fearful of men and loud noises. Christian was incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to explain my puppies behavior, why it was happening, and how to help him overcome those fears.
He taught me to be a confident leader for my dog and how to recognize early signs of stress or fear so I could redirect his behavior before it escalated. His explanations were clear, practical, and easy to apply in everyday situations.
One thing, I especially appreciated was the detailed training summary he provided after each session. They were informative, highlighted my puppies progress, and gave me clear guidance on what to continue working on between sessions. These summaries made it much easier to stay consistent and build on what my puppy was learning.
Thanks to Christian‘s guidance, Roman has made great progress and is becoming more confident every day. Christian is patient, professional, and generally invested in helping both dogs and their owners succeed.
