So I did a contract for unlimited training. After six weeks the trainer showed up three times and called in twice. There was no improvement in my labs training at all. When I asked for my money back they refused. They failed to provide service in accordance with the contract but wanted the money anyway 1300.00. This is the second dog trainer who has scammed me. Beware of these guys and the only training was for the owner who learned the hard and expensive way.

I had one of the worst experiences imaginable with Dog Academy, and I feel obligated to warn other pet owners before they go through what I did. I paid for their training program and was told a trainer would come within a few days. The first trainer never showed up not once and still marked every session as “completed”, which is not only unprofessional but blatantly dishonest. I had to contact Dog Academy myself to report that their trainer was claiming to complete sessions he never attended. Instead of taking responsibility, they simply assigned me a second trainer to “make up for it.” Unfortunately, the second trainer was just as disappointing. His entire method consisted of giving my dog treat after treat every couple of seconds. By the time he left, my puppy had eaten so much that he became violently ill. My dog ended up vomiting nonstop and required a vet visit because he was so sick from the excessive treats. My veterinarian explained that this type of training actually increases anxiety, especially for dogs that already have separation anxiety which is the exact issue Dog Academy claimed they could fix. Instead of seeing any progress, my dog’s anxiety got worse, and the experience set us back even further. Dog Academy also advertises a refund if the sessions do not work. I spoke with their manager, Hunter, who refused to help, refused to honor the guarantee, and offered nothing but excuses. Instead of taking accountability, they tried to “make it right” by offering me a third trainer, which I should not have to deal with after two terrible experiences one trainer who lied and never showed up, and another who made my dog sick.

This is the worse company I've ever encountered... their methods are not consistent. You will have an extremely hard time finding a trainer because they won't pay them

Awful company to deal with, total rip off. I was informed that the trainer would come out for 180 minutes, but he only stayed for 90 minutes. He mentioned it would be too tiring for a puppy to be trained for 180 minutes back to back, which I agreed. Despite this, I was charged the full amount of $495 for 90 minutes. When I called to request a refund for the difference, I was told that they would still charge the full $495. This was not adequately explained to me beforehand at all. I felt pressured to sign up during my initial call, and out of desperation to get my dog trained, I went ahead with the decision. This situation feels like a total rip-off, and I am definitely planning to escalate the issue further. I did receive excellent assistance from Shelby; she was very attentive.

Waiting waiting waiting for my order. Slow responses and no responses. Very disappointing.

I got no help to the answer to my question. It was a very unpleasant experience where I had to rewrite my question three times and then they said they’ll refer me to a union. I never got a human to interact with me. Fitness is just useless.

Signed up many months ago. Took the online classes and tips that I purchased. This was MANY months ago. Was assigned trainer Dalton. After a few reschedules Dalton came and we had an excellent single training session. Dalton then was a no show for next couple of appointments and cancelled one. When didn't return calls contacted Dog Academy for new rep. Was given new name but Dalton called to say sorry-lost his phone, had allergies etc. but would do training. Again he did not show, did not call, wouldn't return calls. I was given a new rep, Confusion with appo-one message said needed to change but then got confirmation text for original time. No show, called and texted-no personnel available at office -left two messages & was told per earlier notice time was not good. Asked for refund for 3 paid training at home sessions not given. No longer want to be stood up. Was told NO REFUNDS AS OVER 30 DAYS. Reminded them delay was on them for 4-5 no shows. Told would have to reschedule sessions or go without.

This company charged me around $900 guaranteeing I would have an in person trainer. I had to follow up 3 times to finally get a trainer assigned. I only got 2 in-person training sessions and was told that my trainer could no longer help us due to her own personal issues. They told me they’d get us reassigned to a new trainer in 48 hours. I followed up 4 times in 2 weeks and then they said they weren’t able to re-assign me to another trainer because no one was close enough. The trainer I did work with was not very helpful and we’re still dealing with the same issues we had before we started this training program. The company is saying that each training session (which were around 30 mins each) is $120 and they cannot refund any part of that.
