Dun & Bradstreet Knowingly Misrepresents Companies
Dun & Bradstreet has caused demonstratable financial harm by misrepresenting my company's credibility. My company has operated continuously for more than a decade, does $1.6M of business each year, and has hundreds of thousand of dollars of credit with banks and vendors. My personal credit score is over 800 and my business is just as credible. Yet, D&B gave my company a bad credit rating that has deterred several companies from doing business with us. I logged into our business profile and found that our credit rating was based on only $200 of recorded transaction history, half of which was false. This is objectively insufficient to establish any credit rating at all. Then, they tried to get me to pay them a bunch of money to review statements and improve our credit rating. It should be illegal to misrepresent the trust of any business unless they have the data to back it up. As far as I'm concerned, if they want to give my company a credit score, they can audit us on their dime.
