UPDATE 8/3/20: Thanks for providing the information; your case is currently under review in the lab and we'll let you know when it is complete.
8/3/20: Hi, A. Physical characteristics are usually subjective and so are not proof of paternity. Have you performed a postnatal paternity test that proves the results wrong? We've contacted you privately to obtain a case number so that we can follow up on your claim.

Mishap on the center processing of my testing
Reason why i wasn't satisfied was bcuz there was a big mix up on processing information i tried and was very much patient with out come with a long over drawn process with resubmitting info to get my results and a small reimbursement no guarantee of fully legal documation of resultsand extra money spent looking for a d faxing info back to the center testing can be very expensive and time consuming with terrible processing experience

7/30/20: Hi, Andrea. It's too bad you're not satisfied with your results. Sometimes results are not what our customers hoped for or even expected, and so customers are understandably disappointed. However, you can be sure your report is correct for the DNA samples we were provided to test.

They had us re take the test and told…
They had us re take the test and told me they would and the gender to the results and never did! Took us about a month all together to get everything done

7/30/20: Thanks for testing with us. There was not enough fetal DNA the first time your blood was collected, which is why a second collection 2 weeks later was necessary. In rare cases, the baby's gender cannot be determined. If you have further questions or concerns about your test, you're always welcome to contact us directly.

Poor customer service
Unfortunately I had a really poor experience from beginning to end.
The collection center I choose was unavailable and the representative responsible for scheduling would always said she would reach back to me and never did.
I agreed on doing the collection on a different site.
On the phone and on the site of collection I’d mentioned I need a hard copy since I needed the results for legal purposes.
I was told to send a written statement with my signature, which I did.
I called to make sure my email was received and I was told they received my email and would mail me a hard copying.
I’ve been waiting for a hard copy for two weeks so I called again today to inquire about it.
I was told I had to include my mailing address on the paper and not on the body of the email.
All customers representative lacked information making the process long and tiring.
Edit: I felt I needed to respond to whoever reply to my review.
First of all: I don’t “believe”, I know for a fact my experience with your costumer service was bad.
This “type of DNA” test wasn’t stressful, the only thing that stressed me out was the incompetence of your customer representative team.
It’s completely understandable that the rules for chain of custody legal test are strict but I was never informed of the rules and that the reason my address was “omitted”.
Lastly, thank you for sending my results. I finally got it and I came here to write a good review but after seeing the reply to my review and how a company can’t hold themselves accountable when they are at fault I decided to keep it.

8/12/20: So glad you received your results. Take care!
7/29/20: Hello, Sabrina. We're sorry you believe you received bad service from us. Our goal is always to provide a positive experience, especially since doing this type of DNA test is stressful. I see you spoke with us today, so hopefully the way forward is clear.
We tried for 2 days with no success to connect you with the original collection center, but as you mentioned, they were unavailable and so we scheduled a collection at a different location. The rules we must follow for chain-of-custody legal tests are quite strict, and unfortunately, the address was omitted on the consent form at time of collection (a step that is required), and so we have not been able to send it to you yet. We're happy to send you a hard copy via overnight courier at no cost once we receive your address in writing with your signature, as directed in your phone call with us today. If you have further questions, feel free to phone us directly. Thanks!

Worst experience of my life
Worst experience of my life. Finally a supervisor made it right, but they don't care what happens to these samples when.

Don’t waste your time
My sons father did a at home DNA test, and said he did it through you guys, and the results came back as him not being the father when he was the only one I slept with. I am in the process of getting a test through the state and done professionally! My son is about to be 5 months and his father is not around at all. I highly recommend getting a DNA test done by another company or get it done PROFESSIONALLY. Also I would like a copy of how your results paper look if you can email me a sample sheet or tell me where I could look to find it that would be great!
Response from DNA Diagnostics CenterJul 21, 2020
Hi, Makayla. Your son's father should have included you in testing, so I understand why you're unhappy. Including you would have been the right thing to do. You also mention getting a professional test, but that's exactly what a home test from a reputable company like DDC is.
Home Test vs. Legal Test
The only difference between a home paternity test and a legal one is how the DNA sample samples are collected. For a home test, the test participants collect the DNA themselves and send it in for testing. With a legal test, IDs are checked at an approved facility and DNA collection and submission to the lab is witnessed. What many people don't know is that, once samples arrive at our lab, the testing process is exactly the same: it is performed professionally by DNA-testing experts and results are reviewed by our in-house PhDs. So, if the same DNA is submitted for both tests, a home test is every bit as accurate as a test done through the state.
You can be sure the test done through DDC was handled professionally and correctly. We perform both home tests and legal tests at our accredited laboratory. If you want to see a sample report, doing a Google image search should provide what you're looking for.

Went through your system twice
Went through your system twice, 1st time "at home test" 2nd time at Reed City Hospital... neither time was notified of results...however I spent over $400. Feel totally ripped off !!!!! Had scheduled appointment time set up at the Hospital...h I never, on arrival they were totally rude & said we had no such appt scheduled. Told us to leave. We called the original person AthENA & she told us to give her about 10 minutes & to come back in. We did....& they accommodated us then. Still have not received any results !!! Other party said it was " no match"!!! For THAT much money...you should seen me a copy of the results !!! I GOT NOTHING !!!!

7/20/20: Hello, David. We're sorry you're not satisfied with your DDC experience. For the first test, the test was set up by the other party in the case and the result was sent to the secure online account they set up. It was a non-legal test and we have no record of your requesting a report. For the second test. you set it up and the result was posted to your secure account; you can access it with your login information, download the PDF, and print it, if you'd like. For non-legal tests, we only send out hard copies upon request. We apologize you feel you weren't treated well at the hospital we contract with for DNA collection . At the time you complained about it on the phone with us, we reached out to them to let them know. If you have any other questions or concerns, you're welcome to contact us directly at 800.831.1906.
