Do yourself a favor and just hire a lawyer or get the paperwork yourself and fill out from the clerk of court. A lot of wasted time, a lot of back and forth, they are not prompt with their responses. I'm over $1000 so far with my payment to divorce.com, filing the paperwork with the court, your payment to divorce.com, etc.

Promised more than was actually offered. Our state is easy to file, but we didn't want to spend the time going to the court. Divorce.com sounded great, they help us fill it all out online, they send it to us to sign, we send it back and they file for us. I received some forms that were completely blank. One of the convenience factors that sold me on the service was all forms being filled digitally and audited before they would be sent to us to sign. When I contacted their support(email only for any form specific question) it would take 24-48 hours to get a response. It was faster to post questions in online divorce forums and fill out the state provided forms myself. Additionally, we decided to make changes to the parenting plan after receiving the documents. I found the state specific forms from our state's website and filled it out with the updated plan. Divorce.com is refusing to use those forms, and is instead insisting that in order for them to proceed with the service I have to edit the online form, and then pay an additional $75 to have them ship the documents to me again. Instead I asked for a 50% refund, which they have denied. The one thing I appreciated from the process was being connected with Children in Between, an online parenting class that's recognized and required by my state. It was immensely more convenient than having to go to a class in person in a rural state. Given the issues, I will be giving them 24 hours to issue the 50% refund as at this point, all they've done is send me forms that I filled out on their website. I imagine $300 does cover the cost to host that data, pay to ship the documents plus some overhead. If they do not refund me I'll be disputing the charge with my credit card company for services not rendered.

Need to explain to your possible customers that the service you provide is basically just the template of questions. The customer is the one who does all the work. Your service is just a platform to the forms and gateway to filling. Other than that you don't do much and not sure it's worth the $600+ it costs.

Absolutely terrible. I reported an issue with the software and no one could resolve it. I was unable to continue service with Divorce.com because of this. Mine and my husbands salary was not being properly transcribed to the form. This happened three separate times. Each time I called, I was told, all I can do is unlock the form so you can reenter the value. Each time I did, it was (still) incorrect on the form and I didn’t feel comfortable submitting false information to the court. I then had to fight to be reimbursed. I was told I wasn’t able to be refunded because I was past my 30 day window, which I wasn’t. The agent reviewed my account and agreed, and refunded almost all my money. She told me I wasn’t able to get a full refund because the forms had been generated. EVEN THOUGH THEY WERE INCORRECT AND UNUSABLE. Ridiculous. There was no follow up, no calls, nothing. I even responded to the auto generated email asking if I was happy with this resolution. This company is unprofessional. STAY AWAY! UPDATE: since writing this review, I was immediately contacted by divorce.com and informed that the issue I experienced was corrected and that I could move forward with the process. I was able to confirm the salaries were correct, print the forms, and am following the instructions to move forward with my divorce. I was very pleased with the customer service provided and the quick resolution.
