Discovery Voyages delivered on all my expectations for both the land part and the boat tour. The hiking and kayaking were tremendous and the crew very gracious.

Offering high quality 3 - 6 day cruises with a maximum of 12 guests on the historic Discovery in beautiful Prince William Sound, Alaska (just south of the largest Alaskan city, Anchorage). We do offer a handful of trips that incorporate Denali National Park as well. Prince William Sound encompasses 3,800 miles of coastline to explore via kayak and foot. The Sound is home to the densest concentration of tidewater glaciers in the world, containing 50 glaciers and 17 tidewater glaciers (touching the ocean), known for dramatically calving huge ice chunks into the sea. Enjoy spectacular views from sea level up to 13,000 ft mountain peaks. More than 220 species of birds (and around 200,000 seabirds summer in the Sound), along with 30 species of land mammals, and at least a dozen marine mammal species make this area quite special. Resident marine mammals include humpback, sei, fin, minke, killer whales, and dall's porpoise as well as Steller sea lions, harbor seals, and sea otters. In western Prince William Sound, black bears may be seen on narrow beaches and are most often seen fishing when the salmon are spawning.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Well, a trip like this is worth a 1,000 lifetimes. I cannot begin to tell you how much fun, excitement, physical activity, meals that you dream about, and fellow boat mates, who were out of this word, can mean to you until it is over. New friends, great pictures and many other memories. Will have to do this again and very very soon. Bon Voyage or should I say "Discovery" to the next lucky individuals who are about to set sail. Cheers!

I would recommend Discovery Voyages to anyone. The right amount of people, excellent staff and guides and personalized service. Don't go to Alaska with any tour group. This was worth every penny. We saw so much more than the groups touring on the crowded Denali Buses...Our driver was tops! I can't say enough about the Discovery Boat! Capt Dean, Megan the chef (and his wife) and our extra special guides Tori and Bill made the trip really special. They are all extremely knowledgeable and have a keen eye for nature that we might have missed if we were on our own. Thanks for a trip of a lifetime. The Robson's

It was a trip of a lifetime! The ability to get off the boat to kayak and hike in areas less traveled made this a perfect trip. The food was outstanding and our guides were experts in their fields. The views of the Glaciers, wildlife and plants were awesome! Thank you!!

Glacier viewing, hiking, kayaking, and wildlife watching were all amazing. The crew's enthusiasm was obvious and contagious. Meg's food was absolutely delicious! We learned so much from Hugh and Dean. The entire trip was great fun and always exciting.

A class act from every angle! The question left begging: does Dean ever sleep? ;2)

Our trip on the Discovery was stellar! We enjoyed experienced and gracious staff, charming accommodations, wonderful food and lovely guests. We enjoyed the many years of experience and stories of the captain and owner. We loved kayaking on the glacier water and watching the glacier material fall into the waters. We loved our hikes. And most of all we were in awe of the amazing wildlife on land and in the water. It was a perfect 3 days.

Our trip on the Classic Discovery Voyage was wonderful! The first few days were a bit misty and foggy but Captain Dean took us to areas where the low clouds through the trees made awesome backdrop and wonderful photos. We saw many glaciers, sea otters, seals, sea lions, puffins, black footed kitty wakes, a few black bears, mountain goats, and a swan!! We enjoyed the nature hikes. They were a bit challenging for us as we both have stability issues, but the team made sure we were safe as well as all the rest of the passengers. They generally had a more challenging hike for those that wanted more of a challenge. We also were able to go kayaking near the glacier. It was our first time in a kayak and they made it safe and definitely doable. What an experience! We would heartily recommend this experience and hope to be able to join them again in the future. The food was wonderful at every meal. Dean and Meg are excellent hosts and the crew that included Hugh and Tori were helpful, kind, and fun. The start and end at the bed and breakfast helped to make it all go smoothly.
