I was excited to wear my dress, the material was flattering but on the day of the wedding when putting the dress on, the zipper popped off and I had to be sew into my dress after multiple failed attempts to realign the zipper. It was that the dress was too small, I had tried it on at the tailor two days prior and had room to spare despite having it taken in already. Without the wedding planner coming to my rescue, it would have been a disaster and mess of safety pins because of the faulty quality of the construction.

My dress, although made to order, was sewn poorly. When I was measured, I was told I could fit either a 2 or a 4, depending on if I wanted it to fit tighter or looser, and I went with a 4 because I like breathing, and it's a safer choice. So the dress was definitely not too small for me when it arrived. I should have probably purchased a 2. The front seam where the bodice met the dress was bunched poorly and looked cheaply sewn. In the back with the same area, the zipper couldn't zip through the bodice portion due to excess cloth. My tailor had to replace the zipper, and I had to take it back because even after the zipper was replaced, it wouldn't zip once it was on my body (and again, the dress wasn't too tight at this point, because he had to take in the bodice a bit more because I have a small chest). Again, I was not too big for this dress. I have a long torso, but the bodice is just too long, and was again, poorly cut (the shape of the sweetheart neckline is off) and sewn. I would have returned the dress when it arrived, but I couldn't wait 6 weeks for another one to be made to order. What a shame. Others probably won't have the issues I had- I don't expect this to happen again, but I just personally had a terrible experience with this Dessy dress.

My husband is in a wedding and had to purchase a bow tie and pocket square that weigh close to nothing. The shipping was 11 dollars- almost the price of one of the items! This is unacceptable to charge a flat shipping fee like this and a total rip off. Oh and they unnecessarily send bags with everything- maybe stop sending a tote bag that I don't want and then you could lower your shipping costs.

The sizing was all wrong for 4 of the 5 dresses we ordered. Call customer service who only offered to sell me additional fabric.
