Take work when you can, and there's no pressure to take on assignments if your schedule doesn't allow for it. The team at Daily Transcription is an absolute pleasure to work with and offers great support and feedback to their transcribers. The company cares about delivering the best work product and works with a variety of clients, so the content you're transcribing never gets boring. Client guidelines can be specific and tedious; therefore, a sharp attention to detail is a must as well as being able to deliver transcripts on tight turnaround. Availability of assignments is steady, and pay is relatively fair depending on the project. Some pay on the lower end of the scale, while other projects such as rush or as-broadcast scripts pay nicely. For me, this work has been best suited for supplemental income versus sole source of income. If you're looking to bring in extra money and work a side job from home with a high level of flexibility, I recommend giving Daily Transcription a try!

Work is decent and regular, haven't hit any big gaps where I'm not being sent assignments. Starting pay ranges from 50 cents to 80 cents per minute of content (more for transcribing from scratch, less for editing AI-generated transcripts). For me, it's worth it as a nice little side gig, though I would definitely be struggling if it was my only source of income. My only relatively minor gripe is that the program they recommend for transcribing is very limited as a free user, so you either need to pay or do some digging on your own for a free alternative. Other than that, it's been a solid experience working for them so far.
