Buyer Beware
Jake has a bit of a shady past, so people should read the actual public record regarding the Zach Rector case and decide if they are bothered by the multiple things that the judge said Jake admitted to in the Verivend case. All I’m saying is Buyer Beware. Decide for yourself if you think it’s an issue or not. The next problem is Connor McLaughlin (aka: “Mickle”) who is the Head of Enterprise for DAG Wealth. If you follow him on YouTube, you know that every video he puts out has a thumbnail with a fake, deceptive tweet from Trump, Brad Garlinghouse, or David Schwartz. His video titles are also often straight up lies. Tonight’s title was, “XRP Buyback FINALLY HERE!” Of course the video does not even mention an XRP buyback, because there is none. Another recent one was “Trump LOSES CONTROL of XRP!” And you guessed it, Trump isn’t even mentioned. Literally every day, Mickle brainstorms on how he can deceive the public into clicking on his videos, because apparently the content can’t stand on it’s own. It’s pure deception. He used to be a financial advisor for DAG, and now he’s in an even more important position for the company. Yet every day he’s serving up a dish of deception to the public with his fake titles and clickbait thumbnails where he attributes false quotes to important public figures. The last problem is the Beyond Broke Mastermind Group that Jake constantly promotes and that makes him several hundred thousand dollars a MONTH in subscription fees alone. The moderators have a long history of bullying people who express different opinions. They have a fairly standard approach where they confront you in the group at first and threaten you with a Time Out, during which you lose your ability to post in the group. They always claim that you are causing “division” in the group, even if you are speaking factual things. They’ve kicked out a lot of good people over the years. They are obviously compensated to push a very narrow lane of thinking. Vere from the path and they will come for you. It’s not uncommon for them to be rude and condescending. The absolute worst offender is Mike Sarmiento, who goes by Living Legacy in the group. He’s notorious for his Small Man Syndrome where he likes to flex his “power” to ban people from the group. In real-life, he’s a scrawny little dude with dreadlocks and covered with tattoos. He loves to hear himself talk, and a majority of his posts contain typos. The moderators are essentially a 24/7 sales group for the products that Jake pushes. There is some value in the group, but it’s wildly exaggerated by Jake. After awhile, the group seems pretty useless. Of course they’re going to push the higher tiers to get more subscription money from you while pushing the narrative that it’s about education and personal growth. Jake’s constantly saying they’re going to “lock down” the group once XRP hits $10 and charge astronomical fees for anyone who tries to get in after that. Like a used car salesman, it’s the “Now’s the time to buy!” routine where he’s pushing people to become members for fear that they will miss out if they don’t. Jake paints himself as the “good ole’ boy who loves Jesus and is looking out for the little guy.” I’ve been in the group for 3 years and see straight through it. Again, buyer beware. Jake is slick and persuasive. It often takes awhile to start seeing the cracks in the story. I don’t really trust either Jake or Mickle. Just my perspective. As for DAG itself, the advisors have been fine. I’m in the hedge fund, and it’s by NO means performing well enough to cover my AUM fees, let alone earn me anything additional. My issue is more with the leadership of DAG than anything else. I feel comfortable about my assets being safe.
