Beautiful, high quality, warm and rich microphone. Great quality of all the additional accessories. And great customer service.

The price was great, the product is excellent - what's not to like about the 87i microphone? The transacation was very very smooth. I just wish an instruction manual was included - but I can download any information that I need if I want to. Thanks Dachman Audi!

The online ordering was easy and convenient. I would have liked more detail as to progress on the order and shipping, but everything was well packed. The DA 87i was easy to set up and the sound quality of the result (guitar & Vocals) is excellent. I can't compare it to the original Neuman but can to other mics I have (including a Neumann 103) and the DA is better for the $$ spent. Well done!

These mics sound great! I bought 2 of them so I could try them as a stereo pair. I've only had them a couple weeks, but so far I have tried them individually on electric guitar cab, drum mono mid, 1 male and 3 female vocalists, alto and tenor saxophone, then as a spaced pair of room mics in a larger drum room. They performed well in all applications. Forward and clear would be my description. The drum sounds were punchy, especially the mono mid. The vocal sound leans a little bright, but the sibilance doesn't seem extra pronounced and it has responded nicely to EQ and compression. They can take a pretty high SPL even with the pad off, so they work for generally any application. My criticism about the design would be the switches for the 10dB pad and HPF. They are those micro switches that you can't access with your finger, so you need to have something like a paperclip or safety pin around to utilize them. Otherwise, this is a great mic. Not having ever used a fully restored original 47, I have no frame of reference for how truthful this is to the original, but I can say that these are robustly constructed and sound great!

It's a plug-in fabulous microphone. I'm a double-Emmy winning narrator and I do lots of stuff from home. This has beat out all the competition. Your service was as good as the product. Peter Coyote

I own a U87ai, and I know the difference between an 87ai and 87i. But when I did an FFT analysis with white noise, I was amazed at how close they were. It's insanely close. I did a sum of the differences (using a match EQ) and now I have a quasi-matched 87ai or 87i.

This microphone (DA 87i) is so clean sounding with a low noise floor, and the highs are crystal clear and smooth. I was so shocked when I tested it out for the first time, I thought I would have to save up for a $8,000+ microphone to achieve this level of audio quality. It takes eq and saturation like a champ, it sounds amazing. I can't wait for their next mic!!
