CONTRACT - Ponzi Scam. They put NO completion Dates (even though they knew we had to have work done in 2 weeks and they said: "we 'most likely' will start tomorrow or next day latest" - never showed up for 3 weeks later only after I called diligently several times. NO Contractor came out - just a painter who was told to do contract work. I cancelled and was forced to pay 25% of contract - several thousand dollars. Had NO communication from Curbio (Atlanta) - who sub-contracted another broker (from Miami area), to do work in Charlotte, NC with very sketchy random painter that I had to use Google Translate for to speak to and found out he could only paint - no general construction contract ability. Curbio pressed aggressively - sign contract, sign contract - work will start tomorrow . . . . after signing contract, didn't hear from PM for over 2 weeks (1 week after completion due date) - took another week to get any info on their 'contractor' (who was another broker). I cancelled the work, two days later got a letter from their lawyer (Compliance) noting I owed several thousand dollars for nothing. Have your contract looked at by attorney (like Legal Shield) before you do this stuff. TOTAL PONZI SCAM.

STAY AWAY FROM CURBIO INC. Do not allow them to perform you renovation project. CURBIO’s business model is appealing and their marketing is promising but CURBIO is only delusional and disappointing. They failed in every respect including in failing to deliver a joyful consumer experience. It is a very RISKY experience and you will not be empowered to resolve any issues that come up. You will be provided poor and defective work and poor quality products at high costs, with inaccurate promises of project timelines and project management help. You will be paying a huge surcharge by delaying payment and getting far inferior work quality than you would elsewhere. CURBIO's business model is focused on speed and profit, and if you try to ask them to do the work right, they will extend the price and timeline of the project and blame you. When you document their failures, they do not admit anything. It's never their fault and you have no recourse. Contractors damaged my property and CURBIO refused to answer for their mistakes. To sum up my experience in a few words: all CURBIO cares about is profit. I experienced their incompetence, lack of integrity, lack of communication, mismanagement, defective work, faulty workmanship, and failure to abide by industry standards that resulted in significant defects and major damages to my property… My project was started in August 2022 and remains unfinished at this time, with numerous defects and damages caused by substandard workmanship. Yet, CURBIO takes ZERO accountability. Overall, my negative experience with CURBIO has cost me a fortune due to the delays, damages, time wasted, efforts, surcharges, the impact on our life and projects, and the drop in home prices. I will either need to sell the house as is and lose more money, or I will need to have the damages repaired, the defects fixed, have some work redone, and finish the work, essentially paying twice for work that should have been done properly the first time. I was overcharged for defective work and a horrible experience. Now, they are even demanding payment for costs we never agreed to. It's a nightmare. Stay away from CURBIO!!!!

Majority of great reviews are from agents. Don’t allow that to fool you. BEWARE! Curbio spent over 2.5 years turning my home into a disaster. Poor workmanship, zero accountability, no follow-up, MIA frequently. When you complain, the tables will turn and they will cancel the contract and demand full payment. You’ll be charged triple for services because Curbio is profit-driven. Curbio’s marketing is fabulous——but it ends there. You’ll be left with a trap house!

The story would be exhausting to have to explain again. That said, the Better Business Bureau rating of "F" pretty much says it all. Twice during our engagement, my project manager became unresponsive, making it impossible for me to reach them. This caused significant disruptions to the project. Unfortunately, when I attempted to contact other parties for assistance, the responses I received were rude, unhelpful, and dismissive of my concerns.

I suggest considering taking out a second mortgage and hiring a reputable general contractor to complete your property instead of using Curbio. In my personal experience, their website methodology did not align with the actual service provided. Additionally, their fees were almost double what other companies charge for the same work. For example, I received three bids to paint my house interior and Curbio's bid was significantly higher without proper justification or details on what would be covered. They also had limited inventory and did not offer certain services like installing a kitchenette or extra toilet. Communication with my project manager was poor and there were delays in starting the project. When I escalated the matter, the response from leadership was unhelpful and dismissive. Overall, my negative experience with Curbio has cost me over $100k due to the drop in home prices. It is advisable to obtain independent bids and consider alternatives before doing business with them.

If possible, I would rate this company with less than a one star rating. The work was terrible, they took two years and the job was never finished. Curbio charged thousands of dollars in excess of the work that was actually proven to be completed. The project ended up leaving the house in worse condition that its original state. They stopped working on the property, which caused months of delays and permits were canceled by the City due to violations without any notification from Curbio. There was a complete lack of integrity (proven) upon communicating w/ employees and leadership. I would never suggest this company moving forward.

Please do not ever use this c ompany. We are currently under a contract to the tune of 54 thousand dollars . For a 1200 Sq ft home. We needed flooring and paint and 2 refurbished bathrooms, deck work, and an appliance or 2 around the home and a cornice in the kitchen. We then requested blinds which they obviously forgot or didn't care to out in with their 3d scan the first time they gave us a quote. And without anyone there from the company to look at things we were quoted 52k. Now after they hire a gc to do the bidding and hire other workers from wherever they can find they will.claim a walk-through and a finish date. Close to the finishing our workers decided to spray paint the receptacles to match the paint. After trying to fix the deck piers( which 2 of the 4 were undeveloped and still.crooked to this day) they still recognized the issue and claim it will.be fixed. Then the wrong size vanity came in. The wrong color microwave was delivered. And then so called work manager didn't even buy a name brand unit to match our brand new Samsung stove. Now moving forward to why I'm calling the BBB and probably the local news station is that we asked for 2 run of the mill ceiling fans to be purchased and installed .(just found out they are not even accredited by the BBB )They quoted us 1,500 us dollars to buy and install 2 ceilings that cost 200$ after taxes. So that's a 1,000 in labor. Are you crazy. Anyone please call an electrician and ask. I don't even need to provide proof here..it's clearly exorbitant. Then I asked about the receptacles the workers had painted and we need about 30 of them for the home. They cost 5$ each... They quoted us 1775$$$$$$ to install and buy 30 light/switch receptacles.. so that's 1600$$$ for a electricians helper to do a job which can be done before lunch. I know this becasue I used to install residential and commercial lighting. They think I am stupid or they actually just rip people off like this all the time that don't know any better. Oh yeah and the flooring company they hired screwed up our floors and it had to be redone. So again that's empire floorings problem they they can't follow directions either. Now they charge us for a contract due at a certain time. So this company uses their own money to hire these people while charging you 100% return on their money. I will go to grest lengths to have them investigate for fraud and general irresponsible unethical behavior as a company. And this was just the bad points of the job. The good one was they fired 5 people over the course of 1 month. Who knows how much we would be behind schedule if that didn't happen. Becasue our time and value of mo ey does not mean anything to this company

Do NOT work with Curbio! They completed our project 6 months later than they estimated – during which we saw the market cool and interest rates rise. They promised a turnkey solution with active, professional, experienced project management and an entire permitting department at our disposal. Instead, we went through THREE project managers as two of them were fired mid-project. During the permitting process, the PM lost the plans, misprinted the plans – causing massive delays. We constantly had to push him into action to keep the process moving. Our project manager instructed us to vacate our property prior to demo but we came to learn later HE DIDN’T EVEN HAVE PERMITS YET. So, we spent thousands of dollars on 4 months in an Airbnb and local storage WHICH WASN’T EVEN NECESSARY. We moved from Los Angeles before construction had even begun! When we called Curbio’s attention to this, even though they acknowledged their mistake they refused to refund those out-of-pocket costs we incurred due to their mismanagement and continue to refuse to negotiate with us. They make a great show up front during the bidding phase, but then we found them to be largely inept and slow to respond. My recommendation would be to stay as far away from Curbio as you can.
