I’m happy to donate to good causes especially when it involves animals. However, asking for a tip on a donation is just taking it too far. Just ask me for a bigger donation. What am I tipping for? It seems like people have forgotten that tip means “to insure promptness”.

CUDDLY is a free fundraising and wishlist platform for non-profit animal rescues and shelters to utilize. We implemented our tip feature to help us cover the cost of financial transactions and CUDDLY's continuing mission to support rescues and shelters around the world. That being said, the tip feature is also 100% optional. You can opt out of tipping by clicking "custom amount" and typing "0".

I love that Cuddly gives good details of the animal's story. I super LOVE the wishlist. This is how I always donate bec it makes me happy to think of a treat or toy or blanket being hand delivered to an animal in need. I do wish there were more follow up stories. I rarely read about an animal after their flight to the US. I think it would help me feel better about donating when I can see the animal in their new home maybe with pics or a couple min video of their new life. That is what I feel Cuddly could improve upon. I love the site and trust what Cuddly is doing for these animals. Also, it would be nice to see more local stories instead of what feels like 95% of the animals being abused in Azerbaijani! I know we have neglected animals in the US that need help but almost every need case is from that horrific Azerbaijain! Thanks so much.

I think having an international platform is great for all of the poor souls of the world who normally would not have the exposure they have with Cuddly. That feature alone is such a positive and powerful feature! The negative is the cost of the supplies requested. I make monetary donations but rarely donate from the wishlist because most items are vastly overpriced.

In regard to the wishlist items in our catalog, our objective is to support animal welfare organizations by helping to provide what they need to help the animals under their care. CUDDLY works hard to maintain competitive pricing and we do everything we can to keep costs low such as working with pet brands and bringing supplies directly into our warehouse. Any and all donations go towards making a positive difference in the animal’s road to recovery and are greatly appreciated. It is important to note that we strive to keep our platform free for animal welfare groups, as such, a reason for why our products may seem higher priced is because we include the cost of shipping and handling fees. In addition, all wishlist items & donations are tax deductible for donors which is explained in further detail on our FAQ page. Being for-profit, for-good allows us to offer many additional opportunities to our partners such as being able to fundraise for transport vehicles, paid television advertising, and promotional spots on social media. We also provide an email marketing tool that helps to easily send emails at the most optimal times in order to reach their campaign goals. These are all tools that would otherwise be unavailable or inaccessible for many of our partners. We hope this response helps provide you with transparency on CUDDLY.
