If you click that sign it will let you know what you are being charged, either taxes or fees. CUDDLY applies a transaction fee of $2.99 to help cover our business expenses and fees from our payment processors. We also retain 10% of monetary donations in order to support our ongoing efforts to keep our service free for animal welfare organizations. We also endeavor to ensure their campaigns are successful by providing tools and marketing efforts at zero cost to them. Below is some general info on our sales tax policy! To guarantee the long-term success of our business, uphold our dedication to assisting shelters and rescues, and comply with state laws, donors will be kindly asked to cover any applicable sales tax. Sales tax will not apply to monetary-only donations. This adjustment will play a vital role in enabling us to sustain our support for the animals who depend on your unwavering generosity. The Sales Tax we collect, is dictated by and goes towards the sales tax in the state you are located. Concerning the tipping feature, we implemented this option to help keep our platform completely free for shelters and rescues to use. That being said, the tip feature is also 100% optional.
