The little good and the lot of bad.
I would like to begin by acknowledging a positive aspect of my experience with CryptoCaddy: the uptime of my miners. Until very recently, downtime was minimal, and I appreciate that. It is possible that some of the concerns I raised through support tickets contributed to maintaining that level of service. That said, I cannot recommend CryptoCaddy based on my overall experience. My primary concern is the lack of transparency surrounding their contracts, policies, and fee structure. Critical documentation regarding fees and contract terms is extremely difficult to locate. I had to contact support multiple times before receiving any documentation, and even then, the information provided was vague and open to interpretation. For example, the documentation references multiple "handling fees" ranging from $50 to $225, but it does not clearly explain when or why a specific fee would be applied. The fee structure itself is also concerning. Customers are required to pay a $225 refundable hosting deposit when purchasing a miner. While this may initially seem reasonable, the contract documentation indicates that the standard fee to terminate a hosting agreement is also $225. As a result, the refundable deposit effectively becomes a termination fee in many situations, which significantly diminishes its value as a refundable deposit. After expressing my concerns through a support ticket and requesting to terminate one of my hosting contracts 71 days before its scheduled expiration, I received an invoice totaling $562. This prompted further discussions regarding the fee structure and associated charges. Although I disagreed with the amount, I chose to pay the invoice in order to move forward and close the matter. Following payment, I was informed that the miner would be shipped to me. However, nearly two weeks have passed, and I have received no updates regarding shipment status. Since paying the invoice, communication has largely ceased. More concerning, both of my miners—the one scheduled for shipment and the one that was supposed to remain actively hosted—have disappeared from my customer portal. Despite multiple attempts to obtain clarification, I have been unable to receive a response from customer support regarding the status of my equipment. I remain hopeful that these issues can be resolved promptly and professionally. However, if I continue to receive no communication or resolution, I will be forced to explore all available avenues to protect my interests. I will update this review as the situation develops and based on any future interactions with CryptoCaddy.
