The cameras gives you a full 3 minutes per attempt before it times out, so if you are having timeout issues the most likely culprit is that you are connecting to your routers 5ghz network instead of the 2.4 ghz network. Make sure you are on the 2.4ghz network and the connection will only take a few seconds.

Hi Bruce, I’m sorry you are having trouble connecting. We make that very clear from the beginning though. Email confirmations, the website, the printed instructions with the camera, and the app all show this. Most routers broadcast both a 5ghz and 2.4 ghz network and it’s an industry standard that a 2.4 ghz network is required. Please connect your device to a 2.4ghz network and you will be up and running in no time.
