Repeated assurances, but my domain and business access have not been returneded Creative Converge to provide…
I hired Creative Converge to provide website development, hosting, migration, and related technical services. During the course of the company’s work, my domain was transferred to Namecheap and later moved from an account created in my name into a business account controlled by Creative Converge. I did not knowingly authorize the company to assume ownership or exclusive control of my domain. For an extended period, I repeatedly requested the return of my domain and the access needed to control my own digital systems. Creative Converge acknowledged my concerns, stated that representatives had met internally about the matter, and provided several assurances that the domain and credentials would be returned. After significant follow-up, documentation, and escalation, I finally regained access to my domain. I am relieved that this portion of the matter has now been resolved. However, the amount of time, effort, and persistence required to recover control of an essential business asset was deeply concerning. A business owner should maintain direct control over their domain, hosting, email administration, recovery information, and administrative credentials. These arrangements should be transparent from the beginning, and ownership should never become unclear during a vendor relationship. Although my domain has now been returned, this experience substantially reduced my confidence in Creative Converge’s account-management and communication practices. Business owners considering this company should ensure that all domains, hosting accounts, recovery details, billing information, and administrative credentials remain registered in the business owner’s name and under the owner’s direct control. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Creative Converge to a business owner who expects clear ownership, transparency, timely communication, and uninterrupted control of their digital assets.
