My wife and I went to the Cracker Barrel in Portland , Maine. First thing we notice was a rat by the front door and rocking chairs. We were seated right away by the host. Our waitress took 15 minutes to acknowledge us even though it was early and not busy. Once our order was placed it took another 1/2 hour to get our meal. Again it was not busy. My breakfast arrives with burnt sausages , the tiniest of eggs , and a small helping of hash browns. We didn't get a refill of coffee until we had finished and had to get another waitress to find our waitress to get our check. I'm done with Cracker Barrel. We traveled a lot down south and always sought out a Cracker Barrel to eat at . Just a heads up don't stop at the one in Portland , Maine.

A Rat By The Rocking Chairs Just had breakfast this morning at the Cracker Barrel in Portland,Maine As we got to the front door a rat ran past us by the rocking chairs We should have taken this as an omen. The service sucked. We waited 20 minutes for someone to acknowledge us and bring coffee. My husband had the worst restaurant breakfast that he has had in his 70 years. There were 4 round originally frozen sausage patties, 3 small eggs and a spoonful of home fries. I had apple pancakes and the apples were raw. It was AWFUL!

horrible, service sucked, smelt bad. and there were rednecks everywhere. people wouldn’t stop looking at me. and the food, oh the food sucked so much. it looked like dog food and it tasted like it too.

I went to cracker barrel for breakfast.there isn't too much on the menu.i love omelettes and can't believe they are not on the menu.mostly everything has potato casserole on them.they aren't too good .their breafast menu really sucks.never will go to cracker barrel.again.

Went to:Cracker Barrell at 2115 S Church St, Murfreesboro, TN 37130. Was forced to wait for 25minute, when i checked with the hostess I was told that I had never registered ( which I had). Was told there was nothing they could do) I went back to the door which I registered at. They had changed hostess. again sorry Nothing we could do. SO, HEY Cracker Barrell: when you screw this up, at least offer to immediately seat the complaining guest, instead of telling them to go register (again) , just to be forgotten again.

this place was HORRIBLE. my family and i are on our way to alabama we took a break and made the biggest mistake eating at this place. let me explain. when we first got there my mother walked in there to see where the restroom was at. when she walked in the place smelled like rotten food. nobody had on a mask which usually does not bother me. but they were spitting when they would talk. ofc it bothered me a lot. my sister ordered a salad and as a server was serving it she spit in it. it could have been spit or food in her mouth. it was very disgusting.. next when the same sever was serving the biscuits to us and she dropped the plate. no shame to her about that because that is a human thing to drop things. next the bathrooms. the toilets were so disgusting. the toliet had dirt stains and blood stains. it was awful. they gave us our drinks but then when my mother asked for straws they didn’t have any. i was kind of upset because i didn’t want to put my mouth on the cup. i didn’t know how they washed the cup. if they washed it properly. overall my experience at this place was horrible 1 star for the gift shop. 0 stars for the restaurant. would never return

When trying to order online for a Door Dash delivery, I was furious to learn that it is IMPOSSIBLE to order pancakes (or any breakfast meal) without ordering a meat. I am a vegetarian and I refuse to order meat just to get pancakes regardless of how much I want pancakes. Finally, my husband asked me to go ahead and order meat because he would like bacon with his meal, so I did. Well, I will never do that again. First of all, I don’t care how much my husband wants meat, he will not get it through my order. And secondly, the pancakes were absolutely terrible. They tasted like eating paint off the wall. Cracker Barrel was once a wonderful place. Danny Evins would be devastated to know what the Cracker Barrel corporation has made of his brain child. Here is a note to Cracker Barrel: it is 2021. There are millions of vegetarians, and I am sure, like me, a large percentage of them will never order from Cracker Barrel again. It offends me that you leave me no choice but to order a meat with my meal. How dare you. Who do you think you are? I will never order from Cracker Barrel again. Lesson learned. You will never offend me again.
