Price Increased Significantly at…
Price Increased Significantly at Pickup, 26+ Days Without Delivery, and No Firm Delivery Date I am extremely dissatisfied with my experience with Countrywide Relocation. I booked my Maryland-to-Texas household move through Countrywide for approximately $2,575, after discussing my inventory, cubic footage, packing requirements, stairs, long-carry conditions, and other details in advance. Countrywide assigned MoveKing LLC as the carrier. When MoveKing arrived for pickup on July 17, 2026, the paperwork presented to me reflected a total of approximately $5,000—nearly double the amount I expected. This was particularly frustrating because I had worked with Countrywide beforehand to disclose my inventory and avoid exactly this type of surprise at pickup. The service experience since pickup has been equally frustrating. My carrier paperwork identifies July 19 as my First Available Delivery Date. More than 26 days later, I still do not have my household goods or a firm delivery date. Despite numerous follow-ups, I continue to be passed between Countrywide and MoveKing. MoveKing advised me in writing 9 days ago that my belongings were being loaded and prepared for delivery with an estimated 4–5 day timeframe. That timeframe has passed, yet I still have no confirmed delivery date. At this point, I need clear answers: Where are my household goods? Have they been dispatched? What is the committed delivery date? Why did the pickup price differ so significantly from the Countrywide estimate after my inventory had already been disclosed? After repeated follow-ups, this level of uncertainty is unacceptable. I expect Countrywide, as the broker that arranged this move and carrier, to take ownership and provide a clear resolution. I will update this review based on how Countrywide resolves the pricing issue and completes delivery of my household goods.
