I am extremely grateful for my experience working with COREnglish as an online English teacher. I am now able to instruct with more confidence because of the company's extensive resources and supportive atmosphere.
The support from the administrative team has been exceptional, ensuring smooth communication and addressing any concerns promptly. Because of the curriculum and the interactive teaching resources that are available to us, students find the lessons engaging.

Terrible working experience.
Low salaries, constant changes in the contract, no consideration for teachers.
If you are absent you will be charged with a 81 usd penalty, but if the student is absent you have to remain in class with micro and camera on, you will get paid 1 USD.
I know this will upset Edwin and his colleagues a lot. However, it is my duty as a person to inform and alert others. I don't need to be paid to leave a comment; I prefer to be genuine. They take advantage of people's needs and hardworking individuals. I'm sorry, but I won't allow it. I am not the kind of person you are. And I won't engage in a fight with the people from Corenglish, so please don't bother continuing to attack me. I will prevent people as I mentioned on my last message to you guys.
This is evident, 2.9 starts. (Even when they pay teachers to write 5 star feedbacks). These reviews are related with other teachers as well. My suggestion for everybody is to take time to read the comments and research about this company first!

This represents a subsequent iteration of the same critique. Such an approach appears to be driven by ill intentions and is markedly unprofessional on your part.

It is extremely sad to hear this from you after all the support we have brought you in these past 3 years, we have been nothing but keen to help and try our best to solve your issues in the outmost respectful and quick manner.
1. Yes, our rate is 6 USD per hour. You signed up for this when you started classes and you taught for 3 years?
2. We don't demand perfection, you only had around 60-80 classes per month, which are around 30 to 40 hours per month and you never reported any humiliation or mistreatment? Why now? This might be misdirected.
3. The penalties established are based on reporting your absences and we provide multiple channels for you to do so. If you are absent without notice and have no justifiable reason then you get charged 100% if you have a justifiable reason it can have a 50% off or even in some cases 100% off. So reflecting like we are a cruel and non-human company, tells us that we didn't know who we had working for us. We tried our best to help.
4. Mentioning a company that we had no relationship with regards to your payment is like expecting Tiktok to pay us for a service we provided to Instagram? If we cut ties with the collaboration we had with the company a year before and who paid you month to month was them. Why should we be responsible for this?
5. Your teacher managers spoke very highly of you and you never reported any of this. Why now? They tried their best to help you in the best way possible. (We have proof)
6. We don't provide scripts to teachers to post, they post the comments based on their experience.
7. We haven't changed the contract itself in over 3 years, some policies might change but we always informed you in your slack group.
8. This is incorrect it is half of your class rate and you never reported the discomfort in 3 years.
So our fellow readers know, this was all due to an absent without notice that she had and reported and we weren't able to get 100% off of it. We were able to help her with 50% off, even tho the quality team wasn't willing to do so at the beginning. Additionally, we spent time debating this to try our best to help, even though we knew she had already submitted her resignation for other reasons not listed above.

AVOID THIS COMPANY
AVOID THIS COMPANY! They want slaves.
CONS:
1. They pay an average salary of 3 USD per class. Don't expect any salary raise, because if you ever ask for it they will get very annoyed about it.
2. They demand perfect classes, and for them, students are always right even if parents/students humiliate and mistreat you.
3. They have ridiculous and unjustifiable penalties (81 USD for one absence), and reasons like medical prescriptions, natural disasters, hospitalizations, etc., are not considered justifications by them. *Their contract states that you have to submit leave request 6 days before you want to cancel any lesson, otherwise you’ll get penalized. How am I supposed to know when I am going to get sick?
4. One of their companies never paid me, and CORENGLISH did nothing to help me get paid. They were the first contact and the ones that actually introduced me with this company. I have all the e-mails where corenglish hired me.
5. Their Teacher Managers don’t know anything, lack information, and don’t resolve issues.
6. The positive comments posted are because CORENGLISH pays teachers 5 dollars to write them. They are not genuine experiences. I also have a screenshot where I was asked to do this as well.
7. They change the contract every time they want. They just inform you, and they don’t care if you agree on it or not. They just send the pdf through Skype or Slack and you must stick to it.
8. If a student is absent to class, you have to be there with camera and micro on. They only pay you 1 USD. This policy was changed like a year ago, and of course, this is not in the fist contract that you sign. They change conditions over time. Conditions that affect teachers, benefit companies.
I DID report my discomfort several times to the hiring director, Edwin and also suggested better working conditions for teachers but nothing changed.
I started teaching a lot, then I decreased my bookings to 1-3 lessons per day from Monday to Friday. Until I decided to quit because they don't have any consideration for teachers.

Worked with Coreenglish for a while. Good company, pay on time, no paperwork, good managing. Coreenglish also understands that people are not robots and do get sick sometime. Overall I haven't seen any problems so far, everything is great.
