The value I have received at Contrarian far exceeds the cost. Some may wonder if, and some may claim that, the course is enough on its own and you don't need to join the community. Which is quite possible. However, I would compare it to any other education in that sense - you can walk away with a wealth of knowledge, but do you actually know how to apply the knowledge in the real world? Not likely. You need experience to apply the knowledge. Having access to the community while completing the course work provides you with knowledge and experience all at once. Contrarian Community is a well designed learning and growth environment that has far exceeded my expectations.

My husband and I started the Contrarian course in April of 2024. We completed all of the material by May and were under contract to purchase our new business by July 5, 2024. During this time frame we also sold two of our small businesses. This program gave us the steps and community support to complete these deals quickly and with confidence. We are excited to continue on the business buying journey and to move into the Owner’s Circle when we close next month. Thank you Cody, Lloyd, and all of the Contrarian community!!

Loved the information in the emails. Concise and to the point. Also, none of that but wait, buy this and we'll give you the actual information you need. It's nice to read about real people and real success and how their success was made possible. The steps to success are listed. Everyone can use the tips and advice given--even if you are only an employee--you can make use of the ideas and maybe that may turn you into a business owner?

This community has upleveled my acumen in a big way. Every week there’s a new connection made, an opportunity to be explored, and at least 2 thought provoking discussions. Everyone is dedicated to honesty, transparency, and helping others achieve their goals.

I have been an involved in a number of different mentorship/training programs. CT is the best by far! Comprehensive materials for learning but also (and more importantly) a great group of people to network with and share ideas with.

The Contrarian Thinking organization is world-class because Codie and her team have mastered how to support people who want to own a business by providing: an amazing community and top-notch educational lessons and tools. The educational lessons and tools are incredibly valuable as she and her team explain how to find, assess and acquire businesses in a way that is understandable. The community is special because the members truly help each other by sharing experiences about the process and giving industry specific knowledge. It is also pretty cool that many in the community become business partners and jointly purchase businesses together. My wife and I are active in Contrarian Thinking together and we feel incredibly welcome to ask our questions and share our feedback. Codie is an amazing businesswoman and educator, and her support team is equally amazing at supporting us in the community.

While Codie was the "Sales pitch" that got me into the program, the value really comes from the community members and experts from Contrarian Thinking that made the program valuable. If you purely look for the educational courses, there are much cheaper ways to do this. But watching videos only got you so far. If you want real time feedback and coaching for your business buying journey, that's the real value and what pushed me to be able to do deals that I wouldn't think I could.

Absolutely love this community! My husband and I are on this journey together. We've gone from knowing 0 about small biz acquisitions to putting in an offer on a business in less than a year! We couldn't have done it without the in-depth training course and this amazing community! Between Monday Night Lives, facilitator offices hours, and a community of like-minded, motivated, kick-ass humans, we feel so supported to reach our goals. We're in this to build our empire and because of Contrarian Thinking, we know we can get there. It's not always easy, but it will be worth it!
