My Husband We Oct. 16 2026 And Had the worst Experience Ever, The ER Nurse Tried 3 Times To Put A Folly Cather In And Gave Up, They Kept Him Over Night And Didn’t Give Him His Blood Pressure Meds. We Waited For 6 Hours For a Urologist To Come But No One Ever Showed Up, So We Ask To Leave And They Threw Us Out Like A Piece Of Garbage, We will Never Go Back To Any Common Spirit Facility Again Ever!!!

I went to their imaging department for an xray, they were quick to bill the insurance but a week later I am still waiting for the xray to be read. You get an xray for a suspected fracture, waiting for a week for it to be read is totally unacceptable.

Stupid name

I'm with Virginia Mason, or was previously. I have no idea honestly, since CommonSpirit acquired it, doing anything is an endless cycle of redundancy and dead ends.

Virginia Mason actually worked with us. When an unexpected higher bill came through we were given a discount of 10% if we paid in full. This is no longer the case with Common Spirit. And what happened to the “no surprises “ billing? Yeah. Out the window. All of sudden extra charges for labs that I hadn’t seen before this switch. Unacceptable. Virginia Mason 5 stars. Common Spirit. Negative 1000 stars. Do better!

I saw Dr. Mahoney at CommonSpirit in Golden, Colorado on 5/29/26. He appeared to be jacked up on something (sniffing and rubbing his nose and acting hyperactively). He rattled off details of my health history from a computer and talked incessantly about topics I did not bring up (e.g., personal details about his family taking testosterone and info about other patients), did not listen (e.g., dropped the ball on a requested test). I gave negative feedback when I received a survey from CommonSpirit. Then I received a bill with an extra charge. I complained and CommonSpirit wrote a letter stating the charge was for 1) A topic not discussed (insomnia); 2) a topic Dr. Mahoney made an issue when it wasn't and has never been and is related to my family and ethnic background (being underweight); 3) A topic I brought up in regards to bloodwork (cholesterol); and 4) A topic that reasonably falls under an older woman's wellness exam (HRT to mitigate bone loss). CommonSpirit is continuing to fight me. I feel they were paid plenty for this disastrous appointment by my insurance company. I spoke with an attorney who said the letter appears to confirm discriminatory behavior as they are charging extra for my being underweight (which has never been a concern or topic I have ever brought up as I've maintained a consistent weight for decades) and punishing me for being in menopause and merely wanting to avoid bone loss/osteoporosis. I reported this to the Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) in Colorado and am told Dr. Mahoney's behavior isn't a violation, however, DORA accepted my complaint and never followed up with me or allowed me to provide evidence. I have no doubt CommonSpirit made false statements just as they did in their letter dated 6/30/2026 (attached). I am not paying an additional $165 under the circumstances and will keep fighting this until it is resolved in my favor.

I was terribly sick on October 10, 2025 and was with my family near Breckenridge, CO. After being violently ill all night I was able to keep things down and tackle the hour drive to the Common Spirit Emergency Room. My care was okay considering I was violently sick, butI was discharged several hours later and was told to get to lower elevation which we did immediately. After returning to my home on Maui in Oct 2025 I submitted my Bill from Common Spirit to Kaiser Hawaii. That was ten months ago. In the meantime Common Spirit sent me bills within days, so rather then risk an issue with a collections company began making monthly payments to Common Spirit on this $4000 bill. Simultaneously I spoke with several Common Spirit Representatives and after 3-4 months stopped making payments because they seemed NOT interested in helping me resolve the payment of this bill with my insurance company. In May/June I spoke to a wonderful Kaiser Billing person who took it upon herself to dog this "Company" and so began my journey of 3 months so far in figuring out what was going on with Common Spirit reimbursement. My Kaiser representative learned that the Common Spirit medical billing systems is totally screwed up and this means everyone!!!! Each person I had spoken to in Billing seemed as if they would help me, but then each time I heard back from the Kaiser person we would learn that excuses were the currency of Common Spirit. They have all my contact information and yet for some unknown reason they sent the bill for Kaiser to the wrong address TWICE. Like this is a basic task isn't it? Then Common Spirit said they had the WRONG PHONE NUMBER OF KAISER billing. As of end of July my fantastic Kaiser Billing Rep has been told Common Spirit will be paying me "soon". So you understand the level of incompetence for my Emergency Room visit. My co-pay to Kaiser is $125. - yes only a bit over $100, however I have given Common Spirit over $1000 to $1200 out of my pocket (plus they are now being paid by Kaiser another $2000 to $3000) and now guess what? I'm now waiting for Common Spirit to reimburse me. Do you think they will ? Do you wonder if they even know my contact number? I've spoken to them 4-5 times, paid over $!500 and even was told Kaiser has been paid by Common Spirit yet my money is lost? If they can't get my bill corrected would you trust them with your life? I'm certain this company hires qualified medical staff but the level of incompetence is beyond belief. DO NOT EVER PAY A BILL TO THIS COMPANY THEY WILL SLOW WALK THIS THE WHOLE TIME.

This company is suppose to link all my medical dealing with my provider but some of the most important doctors are missing. To say that this is an unreliable app is a understatement. The only good that has come is my learning the hard way not to rely on technology and once again take charge of my own medical appts and test results, which I will be requesting in paper from here on out!
