I placed a $600 hold May 1 on a unit in Seattle. It is now June 1, and I have yet to receive my lease or information on actually moving in after my application was approved May 25th for a May 27th move in. Rex with Common failed to make two phone appointments I scheduled. I have called the emergency line multiple times with concerns, as I have had to pay out of pocket for a hotel and extend it, due to the fact Common has failed to provide my lease. Their on boarding link errored out on May 25th(and still is erroring out), and Rex sent threatening emails saying that if the on boarding was not completed, the entire application would be canceled. I have asked for a resolution in a timely manner, only to be met with literally no response, and as a result have to go into further debt while stuck in limbo. I feel my rights have been violated, and I feel scammed out of $600, and I still need to secure housing. Common has compromised my physical safety as a result, for the hotels I can barely afford on my credit card in the area of Seattle are not safe, and I am still awaiting an update on my move-in for my unit, which was promised when my application was approved May 25th. If you are a single female, I would be careful, for I am not sure if I have been taken advantage of, and it feels like it. Common has caused me immense financial strain, been unprofessional and not responded to me, and they have compromised my financial security. They have yet to provide my lease or move-in date, and I am still stuck extending a hotel. 30 Days is absurd for an application for a micro apartment.
