They filed my taxes late (or I suspect they did but it's unclear because I've not had a direct answer) and now trying to deal with the fallout. I really wanted to love Collective but it really does feel like a startup - lack of attention to detail, not really providing value for money, and honestly this issue with my taxes is now a huge headache. I wish I had never signed up with them. Update: 6-20-23: Definitely no resolution and now they've stopped communicating so I'll have to pay the fine for the late filing without reimbursement. I still don't know exactly what happened.

Collective helped transition me from a freelancer to a business. Aside from accounting and tax services they provide a clear understanding of how small businesses need to function financially. It's also an amazing value in that you get full accounting services + quickbooks + Gusto. They also continuously roll out new feature that have become very important to the way I operate. Highly recommended

Please do not use this service! It’s essentially automated emails that ask you to do the work yourself. I thought okay at least they’ll make my taxes easy. Heck no they not only got the amount due wrong but filed in the wrong states and asked me to set up registered agents in states I didn’t need to as they make commission. Please please please don’t use collective find a good small firm for your needs

I wish I could give Collective 0 stars. Every single 1 star review below is spot on. No need for me to reiterate but my husband (self-employed) and I (w2 employee) enrolled over a year ago and would have left 2-3 months in but the reason we enrolled was because we are overwhelmed with the amount of work we already have on our plates and piling on the nightmare their onboarding process was and how convoluted every facet of this business model is has left us quite paralyzed and struggling to find the time and willingness to address all the issues necessary to resolve in order to off-board and ruuuunnnnn for refuge with the accountant we were initially considering working with when we decided to try Collective. If your someone who’s tempted by their absolute bull-honkey FAKE promises marketing, please take my word for it and just pick a good Tax Preparer or Accountant, whatever suits and do that. Seriously, I had a night & day better experience filing my pwn dn taxes through TurboTax. Please send us the strength and fortitude it’s going to require to get ourselves out of this financial puzzle!! I would pursue legal action if I had the means, the time, and emotional surplus. 😵‍💫😵

Using collective is like having an on-demand accountant to help with bookkeeping, taxes, and compliance. AWFUL! I was promised a "hand holding" experience; it's very DIY. Now I just learned my business is in bad standing with the state (found out on my own, like all things) and who knows when they'll help. Consistently amazed at how far their sales pitch is from their services.

Signing on to Collective is so far one of the top business decisions I ever made. I have been with them for a year and half now and in that time my books have been completely organized in a way that helps me plan how to grow and spend efficiently. The team is responsive and helpful. I feel like they are extremely invested in helping my business succeed. Maybe there were some growing pains last year, only noticeable because they filed an extension, but let me tell you this is much improved from the local accountant I was working with that left me with a lot of unanswered questions. This was the first year that Collective did my taxes and it was my least stressful with only pleasant surprises. I also want to say I've read reviews saying that they only cater to influencers and that is not my experience at all. Collective is truly trying to build a community and I've attended their virtual social events and learned from different entrepreneurs, many of whom do not have any social presence because it is not integral to their business.

Easy and helpful set up of my LLC, accounting software, payroll and monthly bookeeping! This is the most affordable service and bang for your buck in your are a solo entreprenuer!
