Hi Ann, Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback. We're sorry the coffee didn't meet your taste. All Colipse coffees are sourced from specialty-grade beans, so quality and consistency are something we take seriously. Our French Roast is roasted to bring out the bean's natural character, and it can taste quite different from the heavy, one-dimensional profile of commercial dark roasts, which are often pushed past second crack for that aggressive "bold" bite.

Hi AJ, Thanks for giving us a try. Our Sumatra Aceh is a single-origin specialty coffee roasted medium-dark so we can still capture these regional flavors that get lost during roasting. It's not roasted extra dark for the bold, heavy-roasted character some are used to. If you're looking for something darker and stronger with more body, our French or Italian Roast would be a much better match for your taste.
