Bad Business - Warning to Potential Customers
I ordered a Master Chief Collection Halo 2 co-op speedrun carry. Neg96 told me his “specialists” would be able to do this with no issues. He charged me for 20 hours that a real Halo specialist could do in 5, the total came to $206.69. He told me to pay him before the service even started. Turns out he has no such “specialists.” The two people he assigned to do the speedrun are not capable of doing it. He took my money with no means of actually completing the speedrun. I’ve since messaged his “support team” and him individually with no reply. It’s been nearly a month with zero progress towards the achievement and zero speedruns completed. I’ve requested a refund on the refund request section of his discord with no reply. I’ve been told he accepts payment without the means to actually complete the requested service all the time and then does not reply when people request refunds. Also, he does whatever he can to remove negative reviews. I have the invoice from CM Speedrunners and can prove that I am in fact a legitimate customer. After all of this hassle I urge anyone interested in this type of service to go with a different provider.
Response from CM SpeedrunnersOct 17, 2026
Thank you for sharing your experience with CM Speedrunners. We want to begin by acknowledging that your frustration is entirely justified, and we sincerely apologize for the experience you've had with us. When your Halo 2 Co-Op Speedrun project was accepted, we genuinely believed our assigned specialists were capable of completing the requested objectives. Unfortunately, after attempting the service, it became clear that the assigned team could not meet the requirements. This was an error in our assessment of their capabilities, and we take full responsibility for accepting a project we ultimately could not deliver. We also recognize that our lack of communication, particularly regarding your refund request, made an already disappointing situation considerably worse. During this period, CM Speedrunners experienced extraordinary real-life circumstances that required us to temporarily suspend company operations for approximately 30 days. Consequently, our administrative and financial departments were unable to process outstanding requests or provide timely responses. While these circumstances were entirely unforeseen, we understand that they do not excuse the inconvenience or uncertainty you experienced. You deserved better communication, regardless of what was happening behind the scenes. We would also like to clarify that CM Speedrunners does not intentionally accept projects we cannot fulfill, nor do we deliberately ignore legitimate refund requests. Our business is built around providing specialized gaming services, and when we fall short of our commitments, we have a responsibility to make things right. Your feedback is fair, and we appreciate you holding us accountable. This experience has highlighted areas where our specialist verification, project assessments, and customer communication procedures must improve. We sincerely regret that we were unable to deliver the service you paid for and apologize for the time and frustration this has caused. — CM Speedrunners Support Team
