I had a shipping agent try to scam me for over $8000. His name is DC. David dixon. I tried for over two weeks and over 20 emails 4 phone calls to jamaica cma cgm office. They could tell me the real invoice price of the demurrage &detention, but could not assist in sending a copy so i could send to the police. Because they will only send invoices to people who are registered on their website. If you do not own a company, you can not register on their website. There system facilitates scammers shipping agents. I would never ship with cma cgm again.

Their operations are constantly disrupted, and the departments responsible are slow, indifferent, and simply incapable. They neither know what they are doing nor seem to understand what is being told to them. They drag their feet on every task, and when the cargo is not loaded or the vessel is missed, they conveniently turn their own failures into excuses and then pass the cost on to the customer through additional charges. Accountability is apparently not part of their operating model. Try finding someone who will actually answer the phone. Try getting a timely response to an email. Good luck with either. Being among the world’s top five carriers means very little when operational incompetence is allowed to undermine the service at every level. We have seen cargo left waiting at the port for 20 days because of a vessel failure on their own side, only to be told that additional charges would still apply as if the customer were somehow responsible for their operational failures. My advice: scrutinize every invoice you receive. Check it against the original quotation and agreed terms. Do not simply pay. A carrier may be able to compete on price through aggressive cost cutting, but cheap rates mean very little when the service comes with delays, poor communication, weak accountability, and a constant stream of excuses. A global top-five ranking is no substitute for operational competence.

************* criminal organization********* - Unauthorized release of cargoes without written (repeated) instructions from their customers/clients. - Actively approaching customers of their client/booking party behind their backs and colluding for the sake of enrichment and personal gain. - Inappropriately and substantially enriching themselves behind the backs of their customers/clients and thereby stealing income from them. - Entering fraudulent data into their online account (my cmacgm). - Sending fraudulent and threatening documents without hesitation. - Using standard and extreme "no-reply" method as a global standard. - Taking no- and waiving any responsibility whatsoever towards their customers and easily disclaiming any liability for the failures of their 160,000 employees. - Neglecting their duty of care as a globally operating shipping company towards their customers. - Intentional plan by entities to evade responsibility in all cases and to consider themselves untouchable. CMA cgm offloaded out container in a completely different country 2000 km from where we wanted it shipped, left it there for 11 days before notifying us and then took 17 additional days to send it to the final destination. Email threats of auctioning out contents if we did not come and pick up the container. All the while charging us storage and demurrage fees. Then they charged us for the additional distance to our final port, holding our contents hostage until it was paid. Citing “clause 10” was their reasoning. One manager even agreed that this situation was not our fault but refused to waive the additional fees. Never use this shipping company.

Very disappointing experience with CMA CGM. Our shipment experienced delays, and communication throughout the process was poor. After we had already paid the invoices provided, additional charges continued to appear later, making it very difficult to understand the true cost of the shipment. It also appeared that important information regarding charges and deadlines was not communicated clearly or promptly, which resulted in additional demurrage costs that could potentially have been avoided. As a customer, this was extremely frustrating. Customer service was not particularly helpful, and responses often felt rude and unprofessional. As a business, it is important to be able to plan costs and logistics with confidence, but this experience created uncertainty, unexpected expenses, and unnecessary stress. Based on our experience, there is significant room for improvement in communication, customer service, and transparency of charges.

I never seen such irresponsible company in UAE. There is no any respond on mail, nobody available to attend the call.Just simply eating customers money. Sorry to say this... Had different experience to write this comment....

This company is included in the top 5 worst of the worsts. It’s a circle. I can’t understand how the government allows a company to operate and collect payments in Jamaica but their account department is based overseas and you have to wait months to get a refund.
