Such a fraud. I would not advise anyone to get it.I was a student at the Galvanize in SF. Together with other 10 students. We were all defrauded about this loan which costed me 14,000. They ran my credit and told me u needed a guarantor or I had to put $1000 down. I didn’t have any of that, so I wrote them an email saying, I will not be enrolling in the training as I can’t afford I have all the emails. Today I did not graduate after attending a few days of trial to see the useless program that was being offered there. Climb credit have messed up my credit. I will be shairin this experience on all social media platforms.

Do NOT recommend
I took out a loan from Climb Credit for UX design for $10,500. I thought I would get a job but was not able to. Despite that I still made my payments on time, I request a deferment(which they assured would not affect my credit or change my loan) Today after paying on time for months, I found out they added $1000 to my loan. When I asked why, the replied we add interest daily to the loan. I will not recommend unless you are 100% guaranteed a job after whatever program you do because they will punish you if you don't make money..

Climb uses predatory loan servicer UAS. Avoid!
Climb uses University Accounting Service for their payment processing.
I find it absolutely sickening that I have to submit payments through such a reprehensible institution. If I would have known this getting into the process, I never would have looked at Climb.
Be aware, Climb loans puts you in some very bad company. UAS has a well documented track record of predatory and illegal collection practices, and has been a key player in extorting money from the victims of fraudulent and defunct for-profit universities.

They through out interest rates based…
They through out interest rates based on balloons and which one they hit, throwing the dart behind their backs. No WAY in this world I would pick up a loan from them that is at a higher interest rate than my brand new Nissan Titan. Someone there either smoked some good really good stuff or they think I have. Not happening...

Hi JMC,
Thank you for relaying your concerns to us and for taking the time to escalate any issues you experienced. Students are our number one priority and we want to make sure we help as many people as we can. We understand that the interest rate you were approved for may have been higher than you desired and we trust and applaud your financial judgement in not accepting a loan that doesn’t make sense for your situation. While we understand you may view your offered interest rate higher than that of a secured loan, such as an automobile, our interest rates are extremely competitive compared to other unsecured personal loan options or financing offers through a credit card.
One way to qualify for a lower interest rate is to re-apply with a co-borrower who has a high credit (FICO) score. Our application is free, and just applying will not affect your credit score, so you can shop around with as many co-borrowers as you’d like until you get a lower interest rate. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions about co-borrowers and we’ll be happy to assist.
We are always here to help, so do not hesitate to call, live chat, or email us with any additional questions or concerns!

I thought this loan would be disbursed…
I thought this loan would be disbursed to me personally, and nowhere on the site did it say that the funds would only be disbursed to the school, so I had to have to funds returned.
Response from Climb CreditJul 10, 2019
Hi Adam,
I'm very sorry for the confusion. We appreciate your feedback, and will review our communications and website to make them as clear as possible.
You are correct, Climb Credit sends tuition funds directly to the school you attend. We try our best to make it clear in the loan approval documentation we provide and any communication we send after a loan is accepted—which confirms that tuition funds are sent to your school, on your behalf, and that no tuition funds are remitted to the borrower directly.
Again, thank you for your feedback.

Worst. Lender. Ever.
Don't use them. Their bill pay system is archaic and slow, despite paying loan in full the interest continued to accrue while the payment was pending. They send you to collections when you have scheduled payments. Customer service is horrible. They make it out like it's so easy, but the monthly payments are obscene, and there is no leeway if you aren't making enough to pay (they give you a max of two 3 month periods of deferment, beyond that if you don't have money they hound you). Go literally anywhere else.
The sad thing is they are funded by Goldman Sachs, and they could easily update everything to at least give a decent user experience, but they don't, and an ACH transfer that shouldn't take more than 2 days takes a f***ing week.

Hi Nathan,
We sincerely appreciate your feedback, we are always looking to improve the borrower experience.
To confirm, no interest accrues if the loan is paid in full. Interest accrues on a monthly basis if your loan is in full repayment. Climb understands that life happens, that is why we offer deferral benefits to borrowers that have trouble making full payments. Deferral benefits are often not provided to folks with private student loans, but Climb wants to help folks be successful with additional flexibility as it pertains to payments. If a borrower is making payments of any amount or if they are on a deferral, Climb will never send a borrower to collections.
If we reach out to students about their account being delinquent, it is not to hound or harass, it is to help them through options like a deferral benefit so they can get back on track and ensure that their credit is not negatively impacted. We want to do everything we can to help students succeed.
Although we feel that making payments is accurate and straightforward, we are reviewing the payment interface currently to see how we can improve so that it is more intuitive. We look forward to continuing the conversation with you. Would it be alright if we emailed you directly to review your feedback and to see how we could potentially incorporate into the borrower experience?

Very upset
I understood there was no credit check. That was not the case. I now have more time to wait for my my goal of no hard inquiries. In trying to fix my credit.i also wanted to say that you guys upset both me and my email inbox. When I decided not to use climb credit every single friggin day I was emailed begging me to keep going through with the process and get a loan. That almost upset me more than the credit check that that said they were not going to do. So unless you can wipe your inquiry off my credit report... btw it was a hard inquiry not a soft one.... or give me a 0% apr $5000 loan, to me you guys suck and thanks for screwin up my credit even worse than it already is.

Hi Donald, thank you so much for your feedback. Of course, we apologize for any confusion or uncertainty you may have experienced through your interactions with Climb Credit. We pride ourselves on being transparent and providing students, like yourself, with the best service possible.
To help clear up some of the confusion you may be experiencing, it might be helpful to review under which circumstances Climb pulls credit for students and borrowers. Once an application is successfully submitted, Climb Credit submits a soft credit pull on the borrower and/or co-borrower's credit. A soft credit pull does not have a negative impact on a borrower or co-borrower's credit score. Since a soft credit pull does not negatively impact a credit score, students can apply multiple times with different co-borrowers, if necessary, to make sure they get the best loan terms for the program they want to attend! Climb does submit for a hard credit pull that may impact an individual's credit score only after their Climb Credit loan is successfully funded.
To confirm, no hard credit pull was submitted or applied to your credit profile by Climb. Are you able to share details of what you are reviewing so that we can help you resolve? The hard credit pull you might be seeing on your credit profile may be from a different lender.
Our mission is to help students and individuals like yourself obtain the tools and skills they need in order to succeed. We will reach to you directly via email, but please do not hesitate to call us at (888) 510-0533 or to start a chat conversation with us by visiting climbcredit.com. Again, we sincerely appreciate your feedback and we look forward to helping you resolve this issue!
