I will NEVER work with COD and here is why. Caution to all moms
I have never in my life been more insulted... I really looked up to COD. I started following Russ late January and took the time to really scope out what COD had to offer. I joined the mailing list and then eventually the FB group... I waited some time to decide to schedule a call, and when I did, I felt like perhaps COD could show me a new way to reach my goals. Within minutes of my call, I felt like the conversation was extremely scripted. Dean, I felt, faked rapport, but I kept on until he we came to a place in the discussion when he basically insulted me for being a mompreneur. I have built a successful company, but the last year or so has not been kind because I shifted to being a stay-at-home parent. When I told Dean that I was speaking to him in my car while waiting for my child to get out of school, I was met with utter disrespect and questions for WHY I was in my car. I was told, "If I had known you were in your car, I would have rescheduled the call." I wasn't driving. I was taking notes and entirely attentive. I am not sure how or WHY this matters when 90% of SALES is done out of the office; on golf courses, at business lunches, etc... The fact that I was in the car (a quiet space mind you), has no relevance to the conversation we were having. This WHY then became, "Do you talk to clients when you're in the car?!!!" All that was missing was a giant gasp with shock and horror in disbelief. YES. I do...if I have to at times. If I am dropping my child off at school at 8:30 am and I have a 9:00 am client call, chances are, I will have to have this discussion in my car. Such is the life of a parent. I don't have the LUXURY of going to a nearby office. I am literally single-parenting from 6am to 7pm Monday through Friday, running around with my child WHILE managing my business, so the free time I have, I max it out as best as I can. Dean continued to probe with questions on WHY this was to the point that I became incredibly offended by his insinuation. Am I not good enough for COD because I'm a mom? The fact that I am reaching out to COD suggests that I am looking for a better way. Additionally, he was evasive with information. I do not understand how COD works from a week to week standpoint. Do I talk to Russ at any point? Is it strictly video? I still don't know. He kept dancing around the answer and I was left very confused. Truly, I am the ideal COD candidate. I am a busy mom with a business that is stuck. I'm not pulling great numbers like I was, but Dean's inability to recognize that I am a different type of business really made a bad call even worse. I can't help that I have no time and MUST communicate within a very short window. It does not make me any less capable OR great at what I do. It does not take away from my commitment and desire for change. I am exceptional. I will NEVER in my life work with this company. If you are a parent, especially a MOTHER with a business, I'd question their flexibility and understanding of different business demographics. I was so ANGRY after the call that I had to call some friends to calm me down. Never again.

Hey Jasmine, Even though you’re not a paying client, and only reached out for a free consult, we still want everyone to have an incredible experience. I’m so sorry your call didn’t meet that standard. Someone from my team will be reaching out right away. We want you to succeed, and we’ll do what we can to make this right. -Russ
