Wasted our time and SMM experience is soooo bad. Really bad.
Bought their 3 mos "deal" for 750, here's what happened, a high-level play by play. We sincerely warn anyone using this company to use at your own peril. Bad companies operating like this for SMM need to go away. Get yourself a subscription of CANVA and hire a part time person dedicated to do what you need vs paying an incompetent "team" like Clickfirst SMM. If I give you all the details, you'd fall out of your chair in shock a company like this is still in business, below is an excerpt: - Oct 6 purchased quarterly SMM deal - Sent them our strategy deck as a jumping off point (which we didn't have to do) for them to use as a reference (46 pages). Part of their package was to give us their strategy. - 3 weeks later, nothing, then told our Account person was sick - Weeks later, received no content strategy from them per their own website said they'd deliver -- we had to ask them weeks later for a strategy deck. It was so bad. We target the USA audience, they sent us info related to outside the USA. It was clearly thrown together. They did it after we asked for it. You can totally tell. - Finally, after several rounds of cookie-cutter tacky content, we finally approved content in the middle of Nov *we got sick of waiting 6 weeks for content... - Then they sent us December content 3 weeks late. That content looked like someone took 5 minutes and used Canva. * We know how to use Canva. So we did. We got more engagement AND followers from our own content than what we paid them to do for us in 3 mos. Their content got us NO FOLLOWERS. - They didn't understand how to help our brand despite what they say on their website "no cookie cutter social media" their content suggestions was everything cookie cutter. - January 2022, over 3+ months later we still only had the content from Nov. Remember, we paid them on Oct 6th.... - They're clearly overwhelmed, and in way way way over their heads - Their staff seems really well-meaning but completely clueless. I don't say this to be mean, they never pulled it together for us. We gave them so many chances to get it right. *their rebuttal about Tim (the manager), stepping in Oct is a bold-faced LIE. I had to call Tim in Dec to help because after a call with Fred delivering crappy content (again), we tried to work with Tim... Tim said he'd get our creative by Tues but then never did... I literally took a COPY of the entire Basecamp communication and if Trust Pilot allowed us to do screenshots, I can PROVE that they are LYING... Tim only engaged, when I engaged him. I should post a separate website of the FULL Basecamp communication with them and how seriously INCOMPETENT their team was. I have PROOF. Glad to share it. I have absolutely NOTHING to hide about this review. - Timelines? Schedules? No schedule, everything was ambiguous, no real clear process from start to finish. Time-waster Huge disappointment Their rebuttal saying our communication was "verbose"? LITERALLY days and then weeks of attempts (and speaking with the manager, Tim) at getting missed deadlines, bad bad content, what else were we to do? We kept trying to communicate, over communicate, we went into communication overdrive to get back on track but nothing, NOTHING helped whatsoever. No sense of urgency. After 3 months of jeopardizing our schedules, their response was they were in "discovery" mode. Both Tim the manager and Fred the account manager, literally told us they had been in "discovery mode." This is a creative excuse for having no idea how to execute our objectives. Finally, we just wanted to cut ties so we asked for a refund of our time left. *The goal was to get signups from the social media to our landing page. We got zip zero signups from their efforts within 3 mos. (Remember) they only delivered 1 content LATE within 3 months. They did give us 350 of the 750 and kept 400. How does it make up for LOSING 3 mos, and being LATE? Their rebuttal isn't logical. We would have been well within our rights to do a CREDIT CARD CHARGEBACK to get the full amount as services were NOT delivered as promised, but we chose to walk away. We never want to deal with them again. Never. Ever. *their rebuttal about they considered giving us the 400 dollar remainder of refund if we take review down. NO. We wouldn't take a million dollars from them to take this review down. Anyone who does business with them should know how they operate. We don't want anyone, even our worst enemy to go through what we did with this team. NEVER!!! Again, no matter their rebuttals, they handled things so unprofessionally. We noticed they even redid their service offerings on their website to manage only FB and IG, it's clear they're in way over their heads to deliver much else. * They "said" their team is in U.S. but FB showed someone from Pakistan managed our posts. Once we cut them loose the Pakistan location was removed.
Response from Click First SMMJan 11, 2022
Hi Yume, This is Alex reaching out to you from the Quality Assurance team at ClickFirst. After an extensive study conducted on your case, here are a few observations that we have to share against the complaints that were logged that we feel should come into light: 1) Our Simple Start Plan starts at $350 per month and $750 for 3-months of service, the first month is complimentary when you sign up for the quarterly term. You were refunded a total amount of $350 as per Finance and the deliverables for the second month were already underway as Tim informed you but you persisted on the refund because you mentioned that would not use them. This agreement is the reason why you were granted a refund as an exception because it is against our policy to issue a refund within the 3-month tenure only if we are unable to provide month-on-month ROI. 2) Our policy facilitates the ease of our clientele first and therefore, your term for either monthly or quarterly does not start until the first post goes out on your social media channels. Upon further investigation, frivolously jotting down aggressive and negative review regarding multiple social media agencies has been observed across your profile’s history. 3) After the commencement of the project, the objective that was decided was to bring in subscriptions to the LoveThrive magazine as a conglomerate of lifestyle, fashion, well-being, to which certain references were presented to you and the initial guidelines/proposal of 46 pages that was presented to you as per your statement was the exact idea that we provided and is still published on your social media channels. Yet, the second month you wished to change the brands entire strategy to something entirely different to something that was not displayed in the brand document provided by you. 4) We also noticed that you mentioned we designed CANVA based designs whereas, it was mentioned in your own strategy deck what kind of designs you were looking for. This is why you actually accepted the designs which went live on all of your social media channels. However, we noticed that your own strategy changed the next month due to a 'change of mind' which we don't entertain per our terms and conditions yet the team still went and designed a separate strategy for it. The change in strategy can still be viewed on all pages and can be provided as proof to any viewer currently reading the response. 5) The communication gap between your project manager, Fred, in the first month (from 14th to 20th October 2021) was because of his severe ailment and the hiatus was not more than a week as opposed to the three weeks mentioned from your end. Even during that time, our marketing manager Tim took over the project immediately and guided you through with the progress that was made on your project until Fred returned from his sick leaves as documented on Basecamp. 6) According to our findings, your feedback regarding the content plans has never been concise and always verbose to the point where the expectations appear to be hazy as per the communication that has been conducted throughout the course of this relationship. Our goal is to provide revisions until you find the deliverables satisfactory and we had already revised them thrice, on our way to the fourth, when the refund was issued as a gesture of goodwill. 7) There's no business in the world that can prosper with $350 'play by play' as you call it. We've also noticed that you've added keywords like scheme, ploy, tactic and more - as well as edited the reply 6-7 times to match the response we've sent to your review. It would have been easier for us to refund the entire amount and ask you to remove the review, but that isn't how we deal as a business. Our job is to bring both sides of the coin to light which is what we did by replying to the review, but editing the review several times to add buzzwords doesn't seem fair. At Click First, our goal is to make sure we build not just relationships but prospering businesses. But it's also important that we bring to light the challenges that our team faced and the second side of the entire story - which i feel some other businesses have also expressed judging your previous reviews and their replies that can be viewed on your Trustpilot profile. Our team wishes you luck in your future endeavors.
