ClearVin is an approved National Motor Vehicle Title Information System (NMVTIS) data provider, giving both individual buyers and businesses fast, accurate access to vehicle history for cars, trucks, motorcycles, RVs, and more across the US and Canada.Every ClearVin report draws on NMVTIS records alongside data from state DMVs, insurance carriers, auto recyclers, junk and salvage yards, and auction houses, combining them into a single, easy-to-read history. Reports cover title history and title brands (salvage, junk, rebuilt), insurance total loss, theft and impound records, title liens, odometer and mileage history, detailed auction sales records with photos, accident and damage history, and current market valuations. We also offer a Window Sticker tool that reproduces the original factory Monroney label for 30+ makes, showing factory specs, equipment, and original pricing. Before you buy, our free preview shows exactly what data is available for a given VIN, so there are no surprises after checkout — a principle we built the whole product around: transparency first. For dealers and businesses, ClearVin also offers a Dealer Program with bulk VIN processing, and an API suite for platforms that need vehicle history data built directly into their own product or workflow.Since 2014, our goal has been simple: help people make informed, confident decisions before they buy or sell a vehicle, backed by real data from authoritative sources rather than guesswork.

it gives a detailed report on the vehicle.

I like the price. I wish the window sticker was included and I would like the service record .
Response from ClearvinOct 23, 2026
Thank you for the honest feedback, Jayne, and we’re glad the ClearVin report felt like good value. The window sticker is available as a separate product: it reproduces the original Monroney label with factory equipment, options and MSRP, and you can order it by VIN or license plate from our Window Sticker page. Dealer service and maintenance records aren’t currently part of our vehicle history report, which focuses on title records, odometer readings, sales history and photos, theft and lien data, but we’ve passed your request on to our product team. If you have any questions about your report, please reach out to [email protected].

I was under the impression that it would list the owners of the unit.
Response from ClearvinOct 23, 2026
Thank you for your feedback, and we’re sorry the ClearVin Vehicle Report wasn’t what you expected. Owner names and personal details can’t be included in any vehicle history report, as the federal Driver’s Privacy Protection Act (DPPA) restricts the release of personal information from motor vehicle records. What the report’s Ownership History section does show is the number of owners, the states where the vehicle was registered, approximate purchase dates, length of ownership, usage type, and last reported odometer. A sample report is available on our website so you can see exactly what’s included before purchasing, and our team is happy to help with any questions at [email protected].

No helpful information. No service records, accurate accident reports. Then want another 9$ for a window sticker. Def not worth 28$
Response from ClearvinOct 22, 2026
Thank you for your feedback. Your purchase was a 5-report package for $28.99, so you’ve run 2 reports so far, and the other 3 stay on your account with no expiry date. Meanwhile, a window sticker is a separate product listing the original factory equipment and price. ClearVin reports are built from NMVTIS title records, insurance total-loss and salvage data, and auction sales. They cover title brands, odometer readings, ownership and damage history, but not routine service records, which shops rarely report to any database. Both reports you ran are complete: one shows a salvage title (the vehicle was declared a total loss by an insurer) with rear-end damage recorded at auction, and the other has no accident or damage records reported. If anything in a report looks wrong, write to us at [email protected] and we’ll check it. Thank you!

#1 you have a completely different car, pictures and all in the timeline of the correct car. #2 after running a different Vin check with a different company it shows even more information. More activity that has happened with the original car. Than what you give me. Your missing a lot of information while giving me incorrect information in my time line. It's like how can you be trusted to give correct information? My cars information is all messed up that you gave me. What a joke .
Response from ClearvinOct 21, 2026
Tommy, we’re sorry the ClearVin Vehicle Report left you with records that don’t belong to your car, and we understand why that undermines trust. In out system all records are matched to a vehicle by its VIN. Vehicle history providers draw on different data sources, so one report may include events another doesn’t, which is why comparing reports before a purchase can be useful. Please email [email protected] with the details so our team can check the records in your report and correct anything that’s wrong.

missing a lot of information and useless to verify a clear vin.
Response from ClearvinOct 23, 2026
Thank you for your feedback. The ClearVin Vehicle Report you ordered includes NMVTIS title records from several states, odometer readings, dealer sale listings and a title brand recently reported by a state titling agency. A title brand is the official record that shows whether a vehicle still has a clean title, so it’s one of the most important checks before buying. If there’s specific information you expected but didn’t find, please email [email protected] and our team will review the report with you.

I paid for a multiple vehicles and received 2 of the same without prompting the search a 2nd time.
Response from ClearvinOct 21, 2026
Steven, thank you for your feedback. Our records show that one of your two payments went through successfully, while the second failed. The duplicate report occurred because the available report credit was applied to the same VIN that had already been checked, rather than to your second vehicle. We’ve returned one report credit to your ClearVin account free of charge, so you can run the vehicle history report for your other car anytime as our report credits do not expire.
