How to get back the parcel and shipping fee from clearpath
My friend sent a parcel containing a card and jewelry from Salt Lake City, USA to Hong Kong through an agent on June 27, 2026. The agent passed the parcel to a shipping company called ClearPath. My friend had already paid them $2,350 USD for the shipping fee, and the company provided a receipt with a tracking number. On July 3, 2026, the parcel was placed on hold at the Hong Kong International Airport. The shipping company explained to the receiver that the parcel was being held by Hong Kong Customs due to a lack of an "inspection certificate, security stamp, and insurance certificate." They then demanded the receiver pay a fee of $950 USD in Bitcoin (BTC). The shipping company also issued fake documents pretending to be from Hong Kong Customs. However, the main point is that Hong Kong is a free port, and Hong Kong Customs would never demand cryptocurrency from a receiver. When questioned, ClearPath blackmailed and threatened the receiver, stating: "We are deeply disappointed with your words. Not because we are trying to help you out, don't try to threaten us with the FBI. For your information, our company has immunity. Don't try such a statement again. When you are serious about getting your package, you know the right thing to do." So, does anyone have suggestions on how to get the $2,350 USD and the parcel back from the shipping company? Has anyone else had experience using this "ClearPath Logistics Company"?
