You won't get fair valuation for your car
I'm in the middle of a claim where the other driver's insurance has accepted liability but is lowballing on the collision reimbursement. So I go to file with Clearcover and they, too, are lowballing me on the collision reimbursement even though in the end, the other driver's insurance will be footing the bill. Clearcover is not your advocate even when you are not at fault. Very disappointing experience. Update 1: In response to Clearcover’s reply. I didn’t say I was looking for the original price of the car. Your “fair and objective” third party vendor that you are paying is estimating thousands below market value of a similar used vehicle in my area. Clearcover’s reply: “ Hi Ed, we are sorry to hear about your frustrating experience. Clearcover utilizes a third party company that calculates an unbiased vehicle's value after a total loss. They provide a fair valuation of your vehicle by looking in your local marketplace and find similar matches to your vehicle. The valuation that they come up with is what the vehicle would be worth for sale in pre-accident condition in the local area and not what it will cost to replace the vehicle. Our team would like to further assist you with your specific experience; please email us at claims-at-clearcover.com.”
