Been playing for past few years but last year or so, it was changing for their benefit to increase profits.
Coins to play the game were doubled or even trebled.
Return value is getting poor. Lowest tier is Level 1, highest tier is Level 6, the higher you go, the more it costs in coins to play. Some games are about 3000 to 4000 coins to play, no good if I've got under 1000.
It's a case of getting more coins off you & giving you very little in return which it's called a 'business'.
Had some prizes through the post, very happy with them like my Clawee A5 notebook, don't care how long it takes, most important thing is that it turns up!
I've notice that many games now have faster speeds so you won't know how fast the claw would go until you played it, then you overshoot, game wasted & then having to shell out more coins to re play it again.
They have made the lowest tiers very difficult to win now, 1 or 2 years ago & I would've won easily, now I can't cos they've altered the settings of the claws so I avoid them but can't afford to play 3000 plus coins when I haven't got even half!
Not as simple as aiming the claw bang in middle of the blue furry ball, you now have to aim it offside so only 2 of the 3 arms trap the ball in between leaving the third arm free - not touching the blue furry thing.
Sometimes, the claw doesn't even pick it up a little!!! What the hell?! Same position as last time when I won but this time it didn't even grab it a tiny little bit, claw just touched the sides & returned back to starting point!
Majority of times, the claw changes angle as it moves round from last time it was played, so beware.
Think of a triangle, move that triangle round to the right a little & then keep moving it round until many games later, it is back to where it was originally.
Will still play but not hopeful of getting high return coins in any games.

Genuine game but difficult to win
I've been playing Clawee under 3 years & it's getting more & more difficult to win even the lowest tier prizes.
If you want the prizes you've won with the coins you've played with, you need to pay the VIP of £3.99 (UK) & then it's free postage forever, but can take upto 10 wks from China. If you want the prizes you've won using the keys, then postage is very expensive. I've won 73 items with keys played over many months - if I wanted all 73 prizes, it would cost me $608 to post them all, some are cheaper on AliExpress. I won a 17cm Chinese plush rabbit with 4 keys - to post would cost me $16.86. I bought exactly same one off A.E all in for only £5.50 (about $6), same goes for Squishmallows & others, cheaper to buy off A.E if they have it.
Customer support DO answer your queries. I've lost coins due to screen freezing, green pixels, sudden message of 'machine will be ready shortly' then they end the game on me, or if one of their staff move the item while I'm playing, or shortage of coins from minimum exchange shown to what you got (ie; 345 min & I got 315 coins), they DO give you the coins back BUT..... if you've made a mistake with buying a coin pack, they WON'T refund you even if you don't use them. I played the Golden Round for £4.99 & only got 1400 coins which is very poor - online store would've given me over 3400 & on the app shop about 3000, so it's a massive difference but I never got my refund back, had no choice but to play with the poor return of 1400 after few days.
I like this game but the return coin value is getting poor, the games are getting very hard to win, cost to play are becoming higher & higher leaving hardly any lower value ones to play for.
(sorry it's long)

A balanced review...
I think I need to provide some balance to the reviews. I have played on Clawee since it first opened in 2017/18 it's now massive in comparison to the early days but is still as fun to play.
The idea is simple it's an online grabber machine like the ones you play with in many arcades/amusements.
If you've played those you'll understand the games are a little about precision and timing and a lot about how the grabber is designed to "grab" the item.
There's no cheating involved, all grabbers on all machines (online or irl) are all set to successfully grab after so many gos and then it's down to your ability to get it in the right place and win your item.
You have 2 webcams to line up the grab but also the ability to watch others play and a video (and time) of the previous win.
All these things help you to size up the likelihood of a win.
The beginners games are purposely set to grab more often, with more prizes to grab, to allow you to practice but also to get sucked in to the addictiveness of it!
As you move up the levels the games get harder but they are still fair and you get awarded mission coins and level up coins as you go.
Admittedly the cameras can be a bit ropey sometimes, however if the error occurs on their side it will normally cancel the game and refund you.
The machines all run a check before the start of a go to make sure the connection is adequate, if it isn't you'll get a message to state the game is cancelled and you'll be refunded.
Yes I have lost coins to technical glitches, yes it's frustrating, but if you submit a technical complaint to support they will check the video and provide a refund manually.
I've always found the support team to be polite and quick to respond to errors.
I'm currently pending a complaint on a duplicate payment through the web version of the clawee store (not Google play) and have provided bank transactions to them, I'm hoping for a refund soon.
The prizes do take a long time to arrive. Unlike the advert where they all turn up in a cute box, you'll get them in individual bags straight from the warehouses in China. I have received all my wins but it's taken up to 2 months for them to show up.
If you use the Shopify app you can kind of track your items, or at the very least see it's been shipped.
All the items have been good quality in the past, the branded items have been real so that's a bonus.
This time around I'm pending some reasonably big prizes like Squishmallows so I'm intrigued to see if they are vacuum packed to keep the size down. I've also claimed a few freebie prizes from the ticket store so I'm interested to see the quality of these.
I'll update this review when things are starting to come through to give you an idea on how long items took this time and the quality of the prizes.
At the end of the day this is a game, a bit like gambling.
You aren't guaranteed a win but you can help yourself by learning the ways of the machines, improving your technique and watching others.
Stick to low value machines until you feel comfortable playing (you can always exchange prizes back to coins) and take advantage of coin deals when they pop up to give you extra gos.
My Update Dec 2022...
I'm only awaiting 1 item from back in October.
All the Pokemon, Squishmallow and Among Us plushies I received are authentic, just Asian licenced, so you might not of seen that particular version of the toy before.
My Freebies have been fine, the fleece throw in particular is lovely. The headphones are fine for kids, more a novelty item. The earrings are good if you have no allergies to metals.
Pencil cases, keyrings, charms etc are all acceptable free gifts, nothing expensive but still of you request branded (like Squishmallow, Studio Ghibli, Pokemon, Nintendo) they all come through true to brand, I have received no fake items.
The last item I'm waiting for is a Squishable (skoll) and I fear it has gone missing.
5 of my items (inc the still missing one) had tracking via the Netherlands. All showed they have been successfully handed over to the Royal Mail in November!
This is where unfortunately for us in the UK at the moment the issues arise. The massive backlogs of mail and overseas items due to strikes and the time of year means items will be in a huge depot somewhere.
Clawee can't be help responsible for postal services!
I hope my last item arrives and my Totoro / Squishmallow items I won more recently eventually turn up
