I ordered the Hart Steel 6/8 polished finish square point straight razor for a total of over $300; received it yesterday and it is certainly usable, but when you examine it closely the blade edge taper on one side falls a mm or so short of the end (on the square end) whereas on the other face it goes all the way to the edge. Its not a big deal, but for that money I'd expect the blade to be almost perfect, at least what I can see visually. I am going to get a replacement and I hope that experience makes up for this initial slight disappointment. The Hart Steel company's philosophy goes in the right direction, I just hope that it is backed up by actual values and is not just empty marketing speak.

This is the second Vulfix 2236 brush I have gotten from Classic Shaving in the past decade. It's got a big knot, so I store it standing up, but it lathers like no other. In my opinion, it's the best value for the money.

The old fashioned handle and head proves that you can't reinvent the wheel. Timeless in looks as well as performance.

The real reason they're still in business is service, service, service. You don't need to overpay for shaving products to get the real McCoy from this outfit, and every thing I've purchased has been of very good quality.
