This was a complete failure of a con game and I paid for it. Every dimension was deception. The longer you talk the more you will lose. These guys are NOT FOR REAL BUSINESSES. Go elsewhere. It's on YOU now!

I was a happy customer of Citylocal101 for several years, but starting in 2023 everything went downhill. Before that, they were decent to work with, like many other marketing companies I’ve used. Once things changed, communication dropped off, they were always “too busy,” and I saw no meaningful data or results coming from their portal – basically zero real, verifiable activity on my account. What I didn’t realize (and was never clearly told) is that they owned my domain name. When I finally decided to leave, I ended up footing the bill for a brand new website and domain just to get my business back on track. That was an expensive lesson: make sure you own your domain name. At one point I received a call about upcoming hosting charges. I clearly said I did not want the service or a website, and was told “that’s OK, you don’t need it,” but nobody explained that these charges were tied to my actual website and landing pages. That confusion is on me for not fully understanding, but it’s also on them for not making any effort to help me understand what I was paying for. In 2023 I was extremely busy running my business. I started noticing calls coming from very close by (5–10 minutes away instead of 30 minutes), and I assumed this was due to the SEO and marketing I was paying for through Citylocal101. At the end of 2025, I dug into my Google Analytics and saw my traffic had fallen off a cliff. Within about six months, I was almost back to where I was in 2018 when I first started my business. That’s when I really started digging and realized they hadn’t been doing anything meaningful for quite some time. The “reports” I was getting looked more and more like fake, canned reports instead of proof of real work or results. On top of that, there were double charges and no receipts or clear documentation – just money leaving my account. I would have stayed with them if they had been willing to admit what was going on and work with me to get back on track. Instead, they got defensive, shifted blame, and offered no real customer service or accountability. In my experience, their customer service is horrible to nonexistent. Please do your research before signing up. This kind of arrangement can cost you an undetermined amount of money in lost leads, lost ranking, and rebuilding costs if you ever need to leave. Make sure you own your domain, insist on transparent reporting, and watch for unexplained or duplicate charges.

I would like to leave my zero but one is the best I can do these people destroyed my business. I was with them over a year not going nowhere. I asked him if I can get more work in a certain town. They told Google I lived in that town which got my business shut down for two months before I even noticed it was shut down from Google. All they want was more money to fix it when they were the cause of it I talked to numerous companies like them and they all told me city 1 oh one got my business shut down Because they tried saying I lived in another town. Please stay far away from Leo and all his workers cost me about $50,000 at the end of my season and they had the nerve to ask me for more money.

I paid for 6 months their service and their website or landing page did not even show up. My website showed up and I created that and learned a few things from YouTube and seems like I did a better job. I got more calls from their competitors asking if I was satisfied with city local 101 service. You would be better registering a website creating it and doing your your own SEO. Also understand that whatever service your business is in should be part of your name as it helps people find you online.

This service is a SCAM! They promised to put my website on 1st page of google by 3 months. 6 months later im no where near. They charged me for iphone map listing which never happened. They bugged my website to the point that i now have to start from scratch. Will not deliver results but are very quick to overcharge my credit card....do not use this service. He calls himself Brad.....lol Many of 5star reviews on here are fakes!!!

They were hosting my website and now I found out that they own my domain name. The registrar was Godaddy. I don't know how it happened. The phone number given is wrong, I tried to call them. Does anybody know how to get hold of customer service at this company?

This company is another scam and they just take your money while doing zero services. Do not trust them with your business.
