poor service added extra charges waste of time

Ordered an unlock for my phone over a month ago, their website says 1-5 days wait, and I've heard nothing back. I've emailed their support a number of times and they don't provide any meaningful answer. Just a generic email saying their reviewing my request, 2 weeks later still no real answer. Even if they eventually do get me an unlock code it's been well beyond what their website says. I wasted my hard-earned money.

Customer service inacceptable. I had several iPhones unlocked in the past without any issues. The iCloud removal for one of my devices is now still pending (5 months after ordering it). No reply at all to my emails - I'm very dissatisfied.

I had paid for an unlock of my iphone 6 on July 15th and finally it was unlocked 71 days after on September 26th!!! I'm super frustrated because in the mean time, I ended up selling my phone and I lost money because it wasn't unlocked and now I would like a refund for this unlock! I couldn't wait around forever and didn't receive any customer service feedback that was helpful. I didn't know if it was ever going to happen. I will be satisfied with a full refund for this unlock that I didn't happen in a timely matter with no explanation. Now I don't even have that phone to use it. :( Looking forward to your response. Thanks, S Tytgat

Chronic Unlock said it at the beginning : service is very slow. It should take 35-65 days. I was aware of that. But after sending an email 10 days ago (so 75 days after buying service) and multiple other email, no answer from them. The problem isn't only about the timeframe, but about the communication, since i have no news (only 1 reply since the first day asking me if the device have IMEI or not). Don't know if this is a scam or not, but i woulndn't recommend it unfortunately. For your information : Serial : DLXQVK4TGMLN IMEI : none

I have only used Chronic unlocks for icloud removal and they havent delivered so far. 63 days after submitting the request and i have sent emails to their support 7 or 8 times for which they replied on 3. Now they dont even bother replying. Just incase they Chronic unlock reads it my request id is 14569. They have posted time of 15-30 days but have failed big time and most importantly no response from them

I have sent countless emails to Chronic Unlocks after waiting weeks for them to unlock my phone. Like many others with negative reviews they quickly responded to my first inquiry asking what service I requested (which I fully explained in my original message). I responded to their email again with the requested information and it has been weeks without a response. During these weeks I have sent numerous other emails. I understand that their suggested time frame is just an estimate and I am fine with a reasonable delay. However, to say the requested service will take 3 days and then take weeks to respond to emails is highly suspicious. Like many other unlock services I cannot vouch for the legitimacy of ChronicUnlocks and highly suggest anyone reading this to look elsewhere for their unlock. I am not usually the type of person to leave these kinds of reviews, but then again, I have never been caught in a situation like this.
DONT TRUST C.
READ THIS FIRST! I have been advised by "Trust"Pilot that i cannot make any accusations in this review so... i have made certain edits to this review that are in brackets. [Do you think] IT IS A SCAM![?] 5 weeks later and no unlock. I have emailed three times and no response. [do you think] you will THROW AWAY YOUR MONEY[?] Decide for yourself: Here are the emails: Sent 26th february On the 27th of january I received confirmation that my unlock was being processed. It is now a full and I have had no update as to the status of my device. This is far beyond the 5-15 business days advertised. Please unlock the phone as soon as possible and respond with an explanation of the delay. 2nd march: Dear Sir or Madam, It has been over a month since submitting payment for my phone unlock on January 26th. I wrote on February 26th have received no response. If I do not receive a response by 5pm EST TODAY, I will be initiating a chargeback on the transaction. For the delay I expect to be compensated by a refund of $20. This represents half the original cost, as it has (so far) taken twice as long as advertised. 3rd of march: me to Chronic Show more 1:02 AM I am now initiating chargeback proceedings. I will also be submitting these emails to technology blogs and any review sites that i can find. ChronicUnlocks.com [DOES NOT] appear[s] to simply be a scam shell company. I am shocked that you are still around. I hope that no one else has to deal with this. DON'T GET RIPPED OFF [In general, i'm *not* saying that Chronic will rip you off] Take your business somewhere else! EDIT: On April 12th, 2015 Chronic Unlocks posted the following response to my review (which i am copying here and taking screenshots in case it is taken down.) "Hello sir, We would be happy to help, but have no information regarding your order. As there have been some false reviews posted, if this is indeed genuine, please email [Name Removed by Site] and we would be happy to the this issue figured out." This is patently false. As I have copy pasted my email correspondance with the company in these emails with dates and content, I see this only as a tactic to get rid of poor reviews. I had thought that I had made my point (and succeeded in getting back my money after contacting my credit card company) and was going to let bygones be bygones, but this is piling on dishonesty to an already terrible experience. To Chronic: Please post an EDIT (not just delete the response!) Apologizing and indicating that in fact you have received these emails and made a mistake in my order. If you don't do this by the 15th, I will seek out every damn review website you are on and post the screenshots of the emails. You are using such absurdly slimy tactics. I am sending you an email to the same effect as this edit. /edit
