I had a bad experience that I think is…
I had a bad experience that I think is like many others here. I signed up and then my account got hacked. Some scammer must have cracked my password with some kind of algorithm. Anyhow this person replaced my picture with an older man's picture and was using my account to prey on older women. This happened when I was out of town for a couple weeks and not checking the site. When I logged in and saw that my account was being used to message all these older women who I had no interest in, I quickly changed my password and notified Christian Mingle that an unethical person had hacked into my account and sent out false messages in my name. I received no response back from them as if they did not care that a scammer and predator was using their site. They completely ignored the situation. So then these older women were sending me messages, so I replied to all of them and explained that someone had hacked into my account and that any message they received from my account was actually from a scammer. I felt that was the ethical thing to do to let these women know that the messages they had received were not from me and were not genuine. I feel like CM should have had enough interest in the safety of its members to send something out to them as well. Then, without any communication CM suddenly shut down my account. I imagine that one of the women who had been messaged by the scammer who hacked my account complained, which I do not blame them for doing. But again, I had already reached out to CM and reported the hacker and asked for guidance about what to do. It seemed like a really inept and noncommunicative way to handle the situation. I had been on their site for months and had not met a single real woman. I then signed up with another site and met multiple real women in that time frame. Something is wrong with how they do business.
