Chinalink ESL Review – A Life-Changing Journey to China After completing my BA degree and PGCE, I took part in Camp America twice—an unforgettable and surreal experience that deepened my desire for adventure and cross-cultural engagement. Wanting to build on that momentum and gain real teaching experience, I saw ESL teaching as an exciting and meaningful path. I completed a TEFL certificate and, thanks to the excellent support from Brian and Anita at Chinalink ESL, I secured my first teaching position in China in 2017 with First Leap. Since then, I’ve been living and working in China for over 8 years. As my Chinese proficiency has improved, life here has become not just easier, but truly rewarding. I’ve done my best to be open to and embrace the richness of Chinese culture. Although there have been challenges along the way, I’ve grown a lot both personally and professionally. I’ve now been married for nearly five years, and it certainly looks like China is where I’ll be settling down for the long term. Looking back, choosing to teach in China was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made—and it all began with Chinalink ESL. Their guidance and placement support were key in launching my journey, and I’m truly grateful for the path they helped me find.
