Great for Asynchronous Coaching
I've been doing this for about six months now, and I've seen some improvement in my rapid rating and am happy about my progress so far. If you find it hard to schedule synchronous lessons online with a coach, this is the platform for you. It keeps you honest, puts you on a regular plan and gives you that motivation you probably won't have without a coach watching your progress. My coach Sandro has been excellent. I recommend him highly. As to the platform itself, there are many things they could improve. They really don't take feedback on the site itself, at least, I don't think any of my comments have landed. For instance, draft messages that you write to your coach disappear if you leave the messaging page. The notes about your games that you painstakingly make each session are completely lost as far as I can tell after each session ends. The Performance Rating section could use some tweaking - thumbnails of your games and your opponent's name in the table view. More control over the "Cards" feature, which is a great feature, would be nice. All in all, it's an attractive, but not feature rich platform. It's just meant to be a connection to your coach. The video reviews are great, and they keep all your video reviews around so you can replay them. If they would actually respond to feedback, or provide an official feedback channel somewhere, I'd be likely to give them 5 stars, as it is, the site team is basically living off the strengths of their coaches.
