chessly.comReviews of chessly.com

I've had it for years, and it's great! Practical and educational!

Very useful site to browse opening and learn them thanks to the adeguate explanations that come with each move and the exercise after each variation. Video lessons at the start of every chapter are helpful to have a general overview of the positions. The opportunity of browsing each variation of each opening can be exploited to just learn specific lines you are interested in, and the bot present in the site can help you practice the line that you want. Overall, also with the events that are included in some occasions, a very positive and fruitful experience in almost a year of use.

Very good way to learn chess openings. Satisfied customer

I totally recommend chessly after using it for almost 12 months. I am completing one lesson per day, doing all the associated exercises & drills; additionally, I am exercising my opening repertoire against the Levi bot powered by MaiaChess AI, and it brought my amateur chess to a different level. It is a very good value for money and it will bring you to the next level if you are a novice or intermediate player.

It Says It's Free But I Can't Decline The Membership.

Signed up at launch excited to use it. Said they were going to improve the classes, matrix to track learning, and all sorts of stuff. This has apparently been dumped so they can just be another drill website. I have been told there are some new features but apparently anyone who already has an account doesn't get access to this (no idea why). Anyone who isn't new just gets the UI buttons to move and change color every now and then. They have literally had a leaderboard since day one and has not worked once. The one a week report cards don't really give any good information, no idea why they ask you to sync your chess account if they aren't going to use it in any ways what so ever. Just over half way threw my first year and it's looking like it's going to be my only year. It's disappointing because one of the reason i signed up was because he said "this isn't just a drill site".

Highly recommended for anyone looking to improve their chess skills.
