I have purchased all the Chefs temp…
I have purchased all the Chefs temp products and found that the probes in general are not user friendly. It is way too difficult to pair with the S-1 in standalone mode and never works the next time. I have the Pro Temp Plus and that seems to be working fine with the exception it takes too long for it to recognize the probe when trying to set up a cook. In addition, the back that holds two extra probes are hard to remove from the charger. Just not enough room to get underneath it to release it. Those metal numbered flags do not attach well enough to the probes...they look nice, just not real practical. In closing, the self-help videos are just not. The fact that the suggestion to make a video prior to get real-time assistance is odd. The only reason for this has to be the product wasn't tested long enough to establish a true sense of reliability.

Hi Pete, thank you for supporting Chefstemp and for sharing such detailed feedback. We’re sorry that your experience across our products has been frustrating. The S-1 pairing difficulties, slow probe recognition on your ProTemp Plus, and difficulty removing the spare probes from the charger are all concerns we take seriously. We also appreciate your honest feedback about the numbered metal tags and our help videos. You should be able to get useful support without feeling that you have to diagnose the problem yourself. While a video can help us understand an issue, we understand why being asked to record one before receiving further assistance felt frustrating. We’d appreciate the opportunity to review these issues with you directly. Please contact our customer support team [email protected] and reference this review so we can work through the connection problems and discuss the appropriate next steps. Thank you again for giving us a clear picture of where your experience has fallen short.
