So I booked a flight through cheap buddy flights 2 to 3 days prior to the flight. The price was $234.84. They took the money immediately off my card. I didn’t receive no phone call no emails no nothing except for the confirmation, then the day of my brother-in-law gets to the airport who is in a wheelchair was told at the front counter by united that he could not board the flight because payment had not been authorized. Come to find out cheap buddy put a hold on the flight when I called them they said that the only way to get him on a flight was to pay an additional $305 and mind you it almost seems like they knew exactly what they were gonna do because they didn’t try to get a hold of me. They didn’t try to email me. They didn’t try to call me so then I’m talking to them and telling them well we agreed on the price of 234.84. Why is it additional? What am I paying additional for? they said well unfortunately we can’t even get you on the flight that was they are getting ready to leave which he was an hour ahead of schedule for that flight now they’re telling me whoa. He can’t get on that flight because check in for that flight is past due, so he needed to wait their additional two hours hour and a half to get on the next flight so then as I am confirming everything with them to make sure that it’s there and it’s through the United Airlines lady tells me oh it’s still on hold it’s still pending after they charged my card. I go to check my card to see what charges they charged me another $434 and some change also $106 and some change also $.15 and eight dollars then they’re telling me well. The 234 was just on hold that shouldn’t be seen as anything what I don’t understand is how you can book a flight. It tells you exactly how much flight is and then later you go to the airport to get on that flight and then they bend you over the Kohl’s for more money.. and because they know that you’re in a bad predicament that’s where they got you. I think that this is the worst company. I’m in the service industry as a plumber and I would never come back and tell my customer after giving them a price well it’s gonna be this price now. Total transparency should be their priority and from looking at all of the reviews online and the Better Business Bureau. I wish I would’ve done mine more research prior to booking for this company because this whole experience was awful and they don’t offer to do anything besides take money from you. Would give a -10 if possible. BEWARE. This is BAIT & SWITCH ! ! ! ! An hour after booking my flight, & receiving flight confirmation, I received an URGENT email from cheapflightbuddy.com regarding my "flight & booking of reservation", "your reservation is currently on hold". "We have made several attempts to contact you using the phone number you provided". Checking my phone log..... I had not received a single call from this entity. Their reason for contacting me, was to make me aware that: #1. I was not allowed to bring ANY luggage, nor would I have an option to purchase carry- on or checked baggage. Only 1 personal item allowed. #2. There would have to be a request for my reservation & seating, submitted to American Airlines for approval. AA would respond within 1 hr, & I would receive a call back with determination. #3. After 4 hours, I received another URGENT email, stating the same as before. Again, I had not received any calls. #4. I contacted a cheapflightsbuddy agent, only to be told AA had denied my reservation! #5. I was then advised, that within 24 hours, AA would contact them, with available flight options, and they would contact me to choose from thise options. #6. I was advised that the flight options from AA, would be within a timeframe of 10 days prior to, & up to 10 days after, the date I would select from options THEY gave me to choose from. #7. Again, there would be NO GUARANTEE that I would be approved for my flight selection within their 20 day window.. #8. I requested to cancel my original reservation.... I was advised, NO REFUND, PERIOD. All of these restrictions were "supposedly" listed at the time I booked my flight. Although the agent was unable to point me to where this is noted on their website.. Nor was I able to locate any of these restrictions on their website, or upon attempting to book a flight.

If I could give zero stars for the first time in my life this would be it. Booked tickets to see my mom over the holidays. They called and said after booking that: Dates weren’t guaranteed it was a promotional price, no luggage, no carry on, and that when I wanted to cancel since this was revealed afterwards that these were the restrictions, they said the booking was non refundable. The agent than was extremely rude. Absolutely scam artist.

They would entice you with 'cheap' price, then call you later to say that the tickets aren't available anymore and upcharge you $300+ to 'guarantee a seat'. After almost an hour-long argument, they changed their wording that the tickets are currently a 'standby ticket' instead of a special promotional price tickets from the airlines and cannot be refunded or cancelled. They keep changing their wording to upcharge you and rip you off and even though I did not accept the purchase of the ticket, they stated, "I don't care about what you say, I'm going to purchase anyway and charge you". Very malicious.

Bait and Switch You are not guaranteed a flight at all. I had to pay and additional $396 to guarantee a ticket and baggage for my flight. Had I known this from the beginning I would not have purchased a ticket through this company. It is horrible and I hate this. PLEASE BEWARE DO NOT purchase a ticket here.

First time dealing with this company and clicked on a promotion that I didn’t know all the details on. This ended up being a bait and switch tactic where they give you a promotion and then call you immediately and tell you that it’s not available anymore. The amount of money they charged me I could’ve gone through American Airlines and gotten my points and the booking would’ve taken five minutes. Instead, it took an hour for them to book a flight. Needless to say the amount of wait time felt like a scam artist company. The record locator showed up on my American app so it’s a legitimate purchase, but I’m not getting really what I wanted. I would stay away from this company not to be racist, but it’s Indian-run and you’re not going to get anywhere with them. I told him I will never deal with their company ever again. This was not a good first time experience. I’m also getting a new credit card. I just do not trust the amount of time I was on hold that all of it was booking my airline tickets. Whoever read this, please stay away from this company!

This Cheapflightbuddy is a scam. They will post catchy air fare deals in their website and later will send you email that your booking is pending and needs further actions. They will call you and will elaborate terms about no refund policy, higher price deals, and not their fault but it’s Airline’s last minute deal, etc etc. Don’t be carried away with their too good to be true air fares. ZERO STAR AND NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL!

This company is a TOTAL scam. They told me I was booked on United but when I called United there was NO record whatsoever. I will now have to request a new credit card since they obviously are going to try to use the info to scam me.
