Never sign up for auto pay...Your trapped. I discontinued service and the auto pay went on and on. There is no way to go into your account to stop it. I finally had to file a dispute with my bank. Thank goodness, a new fiber vender was coming into our town.

Spectrum's Mobile Buyout Reimbursement…
Spectrum's Mobile Buyout Reimbursement is a Scam – Avoid This Company!
I switched to Spectrum Mobile because of their "up to $2,000 Buyout Reimbursement" offer, but it turns out this was nothing more than a bait-and-switch scam. I submitted all required documents on January 1st, 2025, which was well before the January 8th deadline. Despite this, Spectrum’s third-party processor, OCS, denied my claim without valid reasoning.
I have proof that I met all the requirements, yet Spectrum refuses to honor their own promotion. Their customer service is completely useless, bouncing me between representatives who offer nothing but scripted responses and zero accountability.
It's clear that Spectrum has no intention of paying out these reimbursements—they just use them as a marketing ploy to get new customers. This is false advertising at its worst.
Because of this experience, I will be canceling all Spectrum services (Mobile, Internet, and TV) and switching to a provider that actually values its customers. If you’re considering Spectrum, STAY AWAY—you’ll regret it.
Spectrum, do the right thing and pay what you promised.

Class Action Time Let's Get Them In Court
I’ve been stuck with the monopoly of Spectrum internet and home phone service for 6 years now and every year, without fail, there’s been one inconvenience after another, from slow-to-no service and some of the densest “Customer Support” imaginable.
And every year, a price increase, without any advance notice or tangible justification.
As a matter of fact, every time the price increases, the service level decreases.
Internet/WiFi slows, in spite of claims of improvement. I’m seeing the old “buffer” notice like in the “dial-up” days.
Home phone service is a sometimes service. I’ve missed calls because of no incoming, I have my own answering machine so that I can hear when a message is being left by the caller where with Spectrum, I have to check my e-mail for notification, then log into my account on the sub-par internet service to check for messages.
All will work well with the phone service for a while and then, suddenly, for no apparent reason, Spectrum’s “answering” will cancel my home machine so that there’s NO out-going message letting callers know that there IS an answering device. What they hear is absolutely nothing AND my machine won’t record for some reason.
I’m constantly “re-setting the equipment”, but it’s an effort in futility. Recently I was told that I needed an “up-grade” which would be provided “at no cost”. Spectrum sent me a new modem and router, all was installed, worked well and on the very next bill came an increase. “Service improvements” was the reason I received when I contacted Spectrum directly.
The spectrum.net web-site is, essentially, non-functional in that “settings” for service most often result in notice: “We are unable to up-date records, set preferences, modify service”. “Call block” of annoyance calls is non-functional. Trying to stop Spectrum “voice-mail” is impossible and on a recent “chat” I was told “You’re answering device is competing with Spectrum voice-mail.” It never “competed” before recently. I’ve had the same “device” for 5 years with no trouble. “You have to disconnect your device and change your telephone.” was the “solution” offered by Spectrum “customer service”.
The increases are, on average, 6 dollars monthly, compounded over the course of 6 months to a year, and as I say, no “advance notice”, no reason, no customer consideration. Contacting Spectrum is a complete waste of time because “options” offered are “pay the rate or drop the service” and again, they’re a monopoly in rural areas.
It’s blatant abuse and if not actually so, “borderline theft”. Equally, it’s utter disregard for customers/individuals.
A thorough investigation and audit of the company and practises by local, state and federal authorities is WELL PAST DUE! I’ve scoured the internet for “reviews” on the company and have found the VAST MAJORITY of other Spectrum customers are suffering the same or similar abuses. I’ve spoken with neighbours who are also trapped by the monopoly of Spectrum and have yet to hear a positive comment.
I will be pursuing actions with our local, state and the federal authorities with the hope that Spectrum’s monopoly will be legally ended and reparations issued to customers in view of the absolute disrespect and abuse suffered, for many, over years.

After 23 years as a customer i was forced to cancel due to an outage. They refused to provide me access to one of their thousands of hotspots without an additional charge and now want me to pay for the period I had no service!

Horrible Horrible Horrible!!!
Untrained in Customers Service, store sales, service, or respect for that matter. Employment abuse via customer's identity information and passwords, illegally using the customers information and phone numbers for self enjoyment. Many customers Private Personal information have been and continue to be used, for their self reasons. when you go into the store or call they're not friendly, trained properly or professional. Just a bunch of lazy leaning on the counter don't appreciate customers/work from home half sleep workers with dogs barking, babies crying and music, video game playing as well as others in the background. Not safe and they are upset you interrupted their day. Spectrum service is always out internet is always out and easily hacked into via their off duty employees. It's Not safe at all. Find some other cable /internet company, they will say you have just internet but will be charging you for a package deal and many made-up fees. Not a good company at all. Report them and walk away as soon as you can and pack up all their items and give it back, so they can't charge you for their items. Corporate really needs to make a change... long do I miss the adelpha cable days.

Disgusting Company to deal with
Disgusting Company to deal with. They do not want you to leave so they will make it hard for you to cancel numerous phone calls,no call back, staff clueless they need retraining.only way to cancel service is to call the retention team. Takes forever to get through to them then you get error 19 on the call then it disconnects. Asked the agent to call me back if I get disconnected he said he would of course he never did, even the digital call back does not call you back, then trying to get a transfer pin to transfer my numbers she never had a clue saying I did not need it as my cellphones are unlocked.what has that got to do with transferring my cell numbers?? The simple problem is they don’t want you too cancel any service they want you to stay with them for life.unprofessional untrained customer service agents what a joke of a company

Unreliable Service.
At least two to three times a month service randomly goes out for hours on end. Just last night it was out from around 7PM to after 1AM, despite Charter saying that it would be back on by Midnight, which even then, is an unacceptable amount of time. When people pay for a service, they expect to have a reliable service. I absolutely wouldn't recommend this ISP to anyone until they get their crap together. I can't imagine how much money that outage lost people who work from home, and as I said, outages like that occur at least twice a month for multiple HOURS.

The sales guy promised a price and a service (Cloud DVR) for a certain price. Once installed, I discovered their cloud DVR does not work. Was told 3 months ago it would be working in 2-months and would send the cable/DVR box to use for those 2-months free of charge. Now, 2-months later it still isn't available and they are billing me for the DVR box which i'm not supposed to be paying for. Called and was rudely told it is what it is. They could care less. Moving to another provider based on their lies and bad rude cusotmer support. BEWARE if you choose Spectrum/Charter as your cable/internet provider.
