Spectrum’s business model from start to close has been one misrepresentation and non-disclosure after another. The original equipment was returned to a Spectrum Corporate store and the account closed on the 3rd of January 2020. The representative was asked at the time of cancellation for any outstanding balance so that it would be settled; the representative stated the account was closed and gave a receipt for $0.00 outstanding balance. Three months later Spectrum is threatening to place an outstanding balance in the credit bureau though not having presented any outstanding balance before this time. When asked about the receipt showing a zero balance, literally stated no balance remaining, the response from two representatives and two supervisors was that the representative at their corporate store would not know if there was any outstanding bill and this was not their concern. In addition to the aforementioned, the monthly bill was 24% higher to additional fees associated with the service NOT disclosed, but added AFTER the contract was signed. By effectively threatening credit worthiness, this company extorted and extra month of billing, charged late charges and additional fees making them more than 125% higher than ATT and all other competitors in the Louisville area. If ever Caveat Emptor (Buyer Beware) had a living example, it would be in dealings with this organization. One star shows because you cannot post with a 0 or negative rating but this is the ONLY area where they truly exceeded market standard…in their malfeasance, misrepresentation and apathetic caviler concern for consumer confidence.

Spectrum raised my price for internet (only) 50% the beginning of March - in a national emergency. I was given a rate and it was not a promotional rate, based on my low income due to illness. Now they insist it was a promotional offer that expired. It was not. I have been their customer for years; I became ill and had to work less and I asked about the rate for low income / disabled. They gave me a reduced rate because I told them I still wanted to pay!! Now they are taking advantage of a global emergency to price-gouge unchecked. They sent me an email that I cannot respond to. They called me so there is no documentation of what they are doing. Corporations deciding it is cheaper to buy Congress than to provide a decent service for a fair price. THIEVES.

Spectrum did not provide good internet service and they will not give credits and after the account gets canceled they will continue to bill you and you can call and call and they will only sit there and say there's nothing I can do and they will rip you off and they will fix the account they will bill you even when you don't have internet service and say they can legally bill you even if you no longer have active service and they have alot of outages and you have to wait a long time for customer service on hold when you call or request a call back just to be declined help and ripped off

They are charging me $5.99 for WiFi but my Ultra plan includes free WiFi according to the terms of use. My router is only half speed and they will not do anything about it because I didn't report it. They said they cannot do anything about past charges if it is not reported. What the heck? That's like a bank robber saying you didn't call when I was robbing the bank so no crime was committed.

I downloaded a movie from Amazon. I use Amazon Firestick. After downloading, a message appeared that said the internet was slow. I called SPECTRUM. The one that devours their young. They immediately default to, "It is the router." I was promptly given the number to NETGEAR....And BINGO!....promptly routed to Manilla. And so here comes the "CIRCUS." Immediately the nonsense began. And so the call was disconnected. I called back. And I was routed to....You guessed it.....INDIA! They tout Ghandi that brought independence and only achieved retaining the same system that they had before they kicked the British out. They were a dirt poor, uneducated nation before him and just continued.... They invented the number "0" but could not figure out what to do with it. They told me that I would have to purchase a service contract for......$109....A service contract for a router that I bought for $20 from Fry's. Christ, $109 in India is a fortune. And so the HINDUSTANI PARROTS continued. I hung up the phone. I got up at 6:00 a.m. this morning and asked the one question that only contains one word that my generation, the "Boomers" were always taught to ask.....The word, the question... WHY? WHY? WHY? WHY? WHY? WHY? I looked at that router as I was having my first cup of coffee in the morning.....And there it was. The reset hole. I took a paperclip out and bent it and pushed it in the reset hole and of course it worked. Today, when I was in the Ralph's, I watched others like me put back food from the shelves at Ralph's and Vons and Pavilion’s because, although we are enjoying the lowest inflation rate in the history of our nation, these CORPORATE PIGS have raised the prices on the food 6% to 12%. Today, I watched a veteran of the BOOMER generation fumble for a plastic bag and fumble for change to pay for his food at the checkout. I did not offer to pay because I knew if I offered to pay the difference he would not accept it. WHY? Because his pride in himself would not allow it, pride that these dark creatures that have taken over every aspect of our lives could not possibly comprehend. The cashier was ringing up my order. She was so sure of herself... so smug. Her generation has become like this. She could not comprehend that giving a 10 cent bag for free would have spared that veteran shame. In fact, would have HONORED THAT VETERAN FOR SERVING OUR NATION. For NETGEAR to route to India and the Philippines to PUSH MORE PRODUCT on those, ON THE ELDERLY that gave so much and now CAN LEAST AFFORD IT in this country, the generation that changed our nation.... That served our nation so honorably. It is time that SPECTRUM & NETGEAR & RALPH's crawl back in their holes so that all three get permanently lost.

I had spectrum wayyyy back when it was bright house. After Spectrum too over customer service sucks and no body wants to help you or even sound enthused to take your call. Even if it was something as simple as rebooting your modem remotely. Those imbeciles are only there to collect a check with the worst attitude. Spectrum are thieves, increasing your premium without telling you gradually increasing their prices until it becomes no less than “charging you an arm and a leg” for just internet.
