This Business truly takes the cake, just a complete nest of liars and worthless staff from the B of B, CEO all the way to the cleaning crew. There Security Dept. is a No Security At All Dept. and completely refuses to work with any Cyber Law Enforcement as they are the crooks that will be caught! A full audit and DOJ investigation needs to be done by the FTC, FCC and the US Atty. Gen. along with all 50 State Atty. Gen's Offices. Their complete system must date back to the 80's and run on Win's. 3.1. Every time you open your .com web page it is nothing but a complete list of outages 24-7 because their equipment in the field is in total rot and decay and may be only held together with off brand Duck Tape at best. If I have one more lying Supervisor promise to expedite and return a call and it truly happens then Perdition has truly frozen over! I am a 15 year customer, only because they are it no choice, 11 years of "0" Star Service. If this is all that we can have as an IP provider in the US. Then I am ready to move to the Armpit of the Universe just to know one day what it would be like to have a real IP service!

My father passed away so I cancelled his Charter Spectrum internet account 12/17/20. I then received a bill for a full month for service from 12/18/20 to 01/17/21. I don't see how they can charge me for a month of service after I cancelled. I spoke with a Spectrum representative and their supervisor. Even though his house was vacant, and I had cancelled the prior day, they still say I owed for the next full month or they would send it to a collection agency. My father had full cable service with this company for over 40 years, NEVER late on a payment. And now they want to collect an extra month of service after his death. Beyond disgusting.

I have called Spectrum several times for assistance on technical issues and due to an increase in my bill. The experience has always been unpleasant. Their customer service representatives can't provide you a valid explanation and are very argumentative. As a paying customer, it is my right to be informed of a bill increase ($208.00 > $218.00 > $229.00). Furthermore, my internet service was extremely slow for months. I called technical support several times and was never informed the modem I had was no longer supported.

Spectrum charges you for the full month no matter when you quit. We had used it for 4 days and got charged for the month no pro-rating. Service is also horrible. Find another source

I have had Spectrum for over a year now and have been paying for 100mbs of internet and have only been getting 23-25mbs. This has been a problem since I signed up with them and their only solution has been to "reboot" my router, which actually made it run slower. Not to mention my bill continues to go up while my speeds get slower. I will be switching to WOW or another provider in my area, Spectrum is AWFUL!

Dysfunctional service management and billing. This company abuses their monopoly privileges and will protect their own incompetencies to the end. After ordering a "stop service order" because I was moving from my apartment in Central New York and ordering new service at our new address, they continued to bill my old address regardless of my order to cancel service at the new address. After speaking to at least 5 reps in 2 hours (continuously), they could barely figure out which division covered my old address (it's only been 2 months) It also appears that they stand behind the continuous billing and won't admit that the rep made a mistake. I wrote to my attorney general and hoping to at least have them release the recorded phone call with the original rep to reveal my stop service order. In, addition, I totally wish that Fios was in my area as I would switch to them in an instant, especially because the upload speeds are way faster and cheaper. That being said, we have a second apt we are now subleasing, but we pay for internet from Spectrum in Brooklyn, NY, so you can bet that we are going to switch to Fios there very soon. I'm also forwarding my review to the local BBB. One more thing, the service rep at Fios gave me the number for engineering and will see if I can work out some way to get the competition in this neighborhood somehow.

There are a multitude of reasons why they have a solid "F" rating on the BBB and barely over 1.0 here. Sign up at $40 a month, they actually charge you $55 and six months later is goes up to $95. Tell them you've finally had it with them and terminate service, and instead of refunding your overpayment, they actually try to charge you for two months of service you didn't receive. If you have any other choice, it's better than Charter/Spectrum!

Internet service is terrible even though we are supposed to be guaranteed 200 mbps. We barely clear 100, and the router kicks off all devices on it every hour or so. We called Charter to come and fix it, and they said nothing was wrong and then left. Absolutely terrible company, and terrible internet providers.
