Issue still not resolved originally called on 8/11/23 policy is not being shown on New York State workers compensation website as me having coverage

We had the worst possible experience with this company. We cancelled after a few short months and found a better company that links payment directly to payroll. We are still receiving communications from Cerity 6 months later while we dispute an audit that didn't even have my name spelled correctly. We will need to take them to court to get our money back. I wish I'd read the reviews on the BBB prior to choosing them. They have a D- rating.

My experience with this company has been second to none terrible. I needed to ensure I was covered with workers compensation for a very short period. I found Cerity online and saw that it offered insurance month by month with "no sneaky fees". I took out the insurance and then cancelled it so I would only be charged for one month. I paid about $50 in March 2022 and thought that was the end of it. So you could imagine my utter surprise when I found in April 2023 the company took another $350 dollars from my account. I was never informed this was coming. If I had been I would never have taken out their policy simple as that. Their website says that they have "month-to-month pricing and no sneaky fees". Well I don't know what this is if it isn't a sneaky fee. I contacted the company but they have been unresponsive in refunding my money. It is unfair to honest working people that they are allowed to operate like this. Buyer beware!

Horrible customer service. I have to request a certificate of insurance ten times even though I sent an example. Every time you call, they say you have to email, and with every email, someone new answers and has no clue what is happening. It took four days to get a certificate of insurance

I have been trying to cancel our policy, #WC73216P2023, but haven't gotten a response from your customer support. Now I am online "chatting" with one of your staff to get more information. It has been over 30 minutes of "I'm sorry for the delay. I'll be right with you," and, "Thank you for waiting. I'll be with you in just a moment," and "I'll be right with you." I'm frustrated We purchased this policy for an event that we are having, only to find out that you don't offer Additional Insured Endorsements, which was the only reason we got the policy.

So I applied online on 3/27. On 3/28, they emailed requesting clarification on my actual classification to determine eligibility. It was determined that we didn’t meet their qualifications based on the corrected classification and were ineligible for coverage. A few days later I get a notice that we had to be audited because our policy got canceled on 4/8. I wrote back saying we got disqualified and were never a client to begin with. They stated we had coverage from 3/28-4/8. How could that be when we were determined ineligible on 3/28? I have the emails to prove it. These people are a pain to deal with and a waste of time. Look elsewhere with better customer service. So they emailed me back explaining their website qualified me (although with the wrong info) so a policy went into effect and the earliest they could cancel was 4/8 since they are required to give me a 10-day cancellation notice (no sooner). Now I am left with a possible bill owed and an audit for a coverage that should not gave gone through in the first place. Word of advice: call/speak with an actual Cerity representative and DON'T process anything through their website.

I'm not sure if this a legitimate business. I can't get anyone to call me back. When I called, what sounded like a confused teenager answered and no one ever got back to me. They keep asking for audit information that I sent 3x. They send letters and emails. They threaten that it's a crime not to complete it but I did complete it and sent it three times!!! I don't know what else to do but to report them. So glad I switched to another company as my business scales. Do not use this company!!!

Website has useless information. Canceling my policy. Really really frustrated with support and access to my account and billing.
