Overall staff very professional. I was referred by my oncology nurse practitioner to vein specialist for a chronic swollen left leg which periodically causes severe pain. Ultrasound was taken of both legs. The diagnosis show some venous insufficiently, but the main problem was lymphedema. Lymphedema is a swelling caused by lymphatic dysfunction where the lymphatic fluid (which is suppose to carry waste back to the lymph nodes or heart for filtering) accumulates in the leg. Dr. Michelle Nguyen, the venous special, gave me a referral to a lymphedema therapy and fitness program. She patiently explained the rehabilatation program would consist of treatment such as massaging leg, elevating and wearing compression bandage, and compression pump to help force fluid back to heart. Also, an exercise therapy regiment would be follow to help manage the edema condition and symptoms.

Everyone was friendly, informative and professional. No wait time, answered my questions and I look forward to my next visit as the issues are taken care of.
