This company is just horrible. The worst most unprofessional insurance company on the US Marketplace for health insurance. What a nightmare. We use Ambetter through the Marketplace which this company operates and owns, but they are so bad. There website is always down. Now for more than three weeks, their message center in their Ambetter.com website you cannot access it to send a message or read anything. It just keeps saying Whoops now for three weeks. They took money from us on our myhealthpays card, we tried to use it at Walmart, we tried several times it would keep saying denied, so in order to check out we had to pay with our own credit card, which Walmart charged that card, but Ambetter and Myhealthpays also charged and deducted that amount off my balanace with Centene, it was so unfair, it said, denied. We have had a nightmare having them resolve this issue and refund our money. We had to go to the BBB, and they still won't do anything about it. They stole our money and we cannot get them to resolve the issue. Their communications and websites do not work to and are horrible to get this resolved. They could be a good company, but we have had so many problems with them with their myhealthpays card. I am not sure we can use them in the future, they showed up on the Marketplace for insurance in area, but they have been horrible to work with and get refunded, they make so many mistakes, and their website and access has been down literally over a hundred times or more now, so many problems with their website, now we cannot even communicate or send a message as it just keeps saying Whoops. I wish the Federal government would make them operate more professionally for us as customers. It has been a nightmare with this company. Shame on Centene and Ambetter!

This company is the absolute worst, they constantly do not tell you the truth. Their customer service is in the Philippines, nice people but don’t have a clue regarding your insurance coverage. They own Welcare insurance, and I have been misinformed from day one. After 2 calls I found that you can ask for a supervisor in the states. They are no better, i had my calls documented with date and time and the person i spoke with. Doesn’t matter, they don’t care. All calls are on a recorded line, that doesn’t help either. I was on Wegovy per my doctor, initially told if I paid my 615.00 deductible there would be no charge there after. Long story short i have paid $2100.00 and was told by a supervisor on a recorded line that i was at the catastrophic stage and all my presciptions would be 0. My dr increased my dosage of Wegovy, went to pick it up and it will cost my $1200.00. It is truly unbelievable. Last week i was on the phone for 2.5 hours, to no avail. They told me they would escalate to their boss and call me back. That was 4 days ago. I am so upset and angry. To take advantage of seniors living on social security makes me sick. I too will take this to the BBB.

Sherae from Ambetter called me a few days ago and promised to follow up with me today. She did follow up, but I am NOT satisfied with their resolution. Instead of overnighting me a check, for the funds owed to me since 3/7/26, as a previous representative in April had promised, Sherae said they issued a check yesterday, 5/13/26, and I should get it in 7-14 days! And that it does not include any interest on the money that they have held for over 2 months, despite my repeated requests for the refund. They had no problem charging thousands of dollars to my credit card instantly, but refused to refund it instantly. Sherae said they were UNABLE to refund me the overpayments for January, February and March until after my April payment was made (1st of April)! She also said that because of the large amount owed to me, it had to be approved up upper management, BUT APPARENTLY IT DID NOT GET ESCALATED FOR APPROVAL UNTIL MAY 11th, despite all of my WEEKLY requests for escalation dating back to MARCH 7th. By the time I get my money back, it will be nearly 3 MONTHS! March 7th, the Marketplace and I both notified them of the retroactive tax credit I was supposed to get, and every week since then I called AM Better and spoke with a different member of the AM Better staff. Each one said they had requested a refund be issued - and NOTHING EVER HAPPENED. I DO NOT FEEL THIS IS RESOLVED. Given my experiences with this company to date, I do not trust that they are mailing a check, since they have been telling me I would be getting a refund since March 7th, and it has not happened yet. Several times, different representatives said that my charge card would be refunded and they failed to do so. Then one representative said they said that they would OVERNIGHT me a check, and they failed to do so. Now Sherae told me that they are mailing me a check for the amount I was overcharged but not for the interest on the funds, and that it will take 7 to 14 more DAYS. I feel that given the many, many hours of phone calls and frustration, and no access to the money for such a long time, I should receive interest on the money they did not timely refund. I live on a small Social Security check, barely more than AM Better was charging to my credit card every month. I consider it CRIMINAL for them to hold that money. How many other people are they refusing to refund until the BBB or Insurance Commissioner get involved? I am disgusted with this company, and I feel that the NH Insurance Commissioner's office should take a long hard look at how NH residents are being taken advantage of by this company. They obviously need a lot more oversight.

Physician here. Centene denied RSV vaccine (yes, a vaccine!) for my elderly patient with multiple risk factors (clearly met the criteria). Required a peer to peer review, schedule a call from peer reviewer which never happened, I spent over 2 hours on the phone only to discover that they had not submitted the information to the peer to peer reviewer by the time the call was supposed to happen. Entire experience characterized by lies and incompetence. As of this writing the vaccine still has not been authorized by Centene.

This guy Zulqarnain is a crook and cowboy builder. He ripped us almost 60K plus and 2 wasted years of shoddy sub-standard jobs in our house renovation project. Unfortunately, he was collecting funds for Human Appeal charity too, and Allah SWT knows how many people he has cheated over last 15 years. We had an independent inspector to assess his rotten work, and am surprised the guy is not in prison for his criminal activities and licenses. My experience is from 2014.

This is the worse insurance company ive ever used. they basically make you dispute every single insurance claim before they even pay. Canceling end of year and will never use again. This company needs to go out of business.

This is the worst insurance company I have ever dealt with. Centene Corporation is the parent company to Ambetter Health of Texas. Poor Customer Service, long wait times, difficulty getting problems resolved, and representatives who are unhelpful or lack the authority to address issues. Supervisors who hang up on you and people at the administration office who just don't give a darn about you. Chyenne Gilson left me unattended while she supposedly was trying to help me for over 6 weeks in some of the worst pain I've ever dealt with in my entire life. Now tell me that's not cruel and unusual punishment. Apparently, they have a lot of complaints filed on them at the Better Business Bureau of which mine will be next. They think because I'm a 60 year old woman I'm just going to sit back and be quiet and not do anything this is the worst insurance company ever my advice to you is stay clear of them and by no means trust them.

This place is a fraud. They own WellCare insurance claiming they want to improve healthcare but if that’s true, why do you make it absolutely impossible to get the meds we need? I see what’s happening, you had a class action suit settled against you, WellCare to pay back MILLIONS that your company stole now your making patients suffer by CUTTING our benefits & denying our medication to recoup the money you fraudulently took!! Well if only one time I end up in the hospital because of you, I’ll get the hugest ambulance chasing lawyer I can find so they can file another class action suit against you!!! You people will end up losing everything. Then you’ll be in our position needing medical care & meds but you won’t be able to get it. What goes around will absolutely come back around. Your company will be in ruins & desolate!!
