DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY Please read my full review which includes a response to the company. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY. I ordered Caviar, blinis and two mother of pearl spoons to be delivered to my brother in law. My brother in law intended to bring the items with him when he travelled to Ireland for my husbands 70th birthday. Caviar and cocktails promise a 24 hour delivery window. They contract DHL to provide this. Despite my brother in law being home all day, and DHL having his mobile number and Etsy having delivered successfully to him that day. The DHL driver said that my brother in law’s house was ‘closed’. Due to a spate of thefts of deliveries from doorways I had clearly stipulated NOT to leave my parcel anywhere else. Please bear in mind that leaving a parcel that is meant to be refrigerated anywhere else overnight would compromise the product. However ignoring this the driver drove to another building 9 minutes away and left my parcel with staff there. Staff who go home. My brother in law resides in his building. So my brother in law did not receive the parcel, a staff member at Caviar and Cocktails told me that someone else who neither of us new, in a building that we didn’t know had taken in the parcel and that my brother in law could collect the parcel on his return which was four days time. I was completely shocked. They took absolutely no responsibility, the tone of their emails was defensive and derogatory in fact the staff member stopped using my name and signing off her name which is completely inappropriate. I could say a lot more but please there are many other companies out there who will provide you with Caviar and additional items. Customer Service at Caviar and Cocktails is zero, the customer does not matter and personal responsibility and care is zero. I asked for a refund because the delivery note was falsified, I had not received my order and it was left with a complete stranger and could be compromised I was told no. So please do not waste your money. Please see in the reply that Caviar and Cocktails posted that they admit to leaving my item with an unauthorised person in a location unknown to me and did so despite me clearly indicating that that the parcel was not to be left elsewhere. The recipient’s home was not ‘closed’ as previously mentioned a delivery from an Etsy seller was successfully delivered and the residence is a 24 hour service. We have no idea whatsoever whether the integrity of the parcel was maintained. The DHL driver provided a signed document with the recipient’s address but this was not the recipient’s name. Caviar and Cocktails have consistently denied a refund despite the recipient not receiving the item on the day within the 24 hour period. The recipient went to pick up the item after a four day trip only with the purpose of seeing where the item had been delivered and who had signed for his address. The item cannot be eaten because we do not know what happened to the item over that period of time. On their website Caviar and Cocktails promise top customer service, they also state that a delay in receiving their food products can result in damage to the product yet they absolutely defend a product going missing four four days, at an unknown address and expect that that product will be consumed when it is packed in ice and needs to be refrigerated. Ask yourself would you trust a stranger ? Do you think it’s ok to leave a product for four days at an unknown address, with a signed for note that wasn’t the recipient’s when instructed not to leave in any other space and to claim that the recipient’s door was closed when another delivery was successful, the driver did not use the phone number that was provided and where the recipient was in all day?

Thank you for the opportunity to clarify the considerable steps taken by ourselves, DHL and the University to complete this delivery. DHL attended the address within the notified two-hour delivery window. The university building was closed and, noting that the only delivery request provided was “expedite delivery”, the driver took the parcel to the University’s central mailroom rather than returning it to the depot. It was signed for by a member of university staff, and the mailroom made a second attempt to deliver it to the recipient later that day, but the building remained closed. When you contacted us after 5.30pm, we remained available beyond our normal working hours, liaised directly with DHL and university staff, located the parcel and arranged for it to be held securely in refrigerated storage until the recipient could collect it. We can now confirm that the parcel has been collected. We take the delivery of perishable products extremely seriously. When an unforeseen problem occurs, our first priority is always to resolve it safely and practically. Where that is not possible, we will arrange a replacement or refund. In this instance, despite the original university building being closed, the parcel was located, refrigerated and successfully handed to its intended recipient.
